mattf150
Is there an option somewhere to change the Sync system voice to a male voice rather than the female "Samantha"? I have a 2009 F150 w/ Sync Navigation system. If so, please share some basic instructions.

Muzicman61
Richard Simmons! :happy feet: Of course, I'm joking.
RandyW
Which male voice would you like to have? James Earl Jones? Pierce Brosnan? Homer Simpson? That's hilarious! People would pay for an upgrade if they could have Homer SImpson's voice. Of course, no matter where you wanted to go, he would always give you directions to Moe's Tavern. Muzicman61
I would only need directions home from Moe's Tavern.
frpda205
I would only need directions home from Moe's Tavern. Since autopark is available, maybe with a little tweaking I can get my car to steer it self home

lrymal
Which male voice would you like to have? James Earl Jones? Pierce Brosnan? Homer Simpson? Most definitely: HOMER
Moon_Wolf
I want a female voice that sounds like the wife. That way she can still tell me were to go even when she isn't in the car
Xmech2k
Guess they can't have Sync in the Middle East. I know some places there won't buy certain aircraft, as the voice for some warnings in those planes are a female voice, and you CAN'T be taking orders from a woman... Well, I guess Sync is obeying your commands (usually) so maybe it's OK...
starcaster
I'd like James Bond's voice in my sync.
DesignIt
Snoop's voice is now available on TomTom GPS: http://www.voiceskins.com/celebrity/snoop-dogg-voiceskin.html I hate to say it, but I'd pay extra to have Snoop as my navigator.

queenjane
Nope. Not yet at least. Not sure if they even have plans for that as an option. How lame. jchapy
HAL from 2001 Space Odyssey would be awesome. "I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that." (name substitution would make it even better). Edited March 22, 2011 by jchapy
FLMarky
http://www.voiceskins.com/celebrity/darth-vader.html This is the link to the TOM TOM Voice Skins. IF TOM TOM can do this - and make money at it - why isn't FORD doing it too? While I appreciate that some of the other on here are making cute comments (yes, I find them funny too), I'm serious when I say I'd like a male voice on my GPS. The little female voice is ok - I mean, she gets me to my destination - but I'd love to hear James Earl Jones, Sam Waterson or even The guy who starred in the movie, "The 300." Couldn't Nick Nolte use some extra cash for doing GPS voice instructions? How about John C. Reilly - his voice is recognizable - but most of you will have to go to this link to recall what he looks like. OF ALL the voices I've mentioned here - and some of these are real favorites - I think my #1 choice might be Sir Patrick Stewart ! Imagine the captain of the Starship Enterprise telling YOU to "Make it so." C'mon Ford - get with it!

(name substitution would make it even better). More like... "I'm sorry Dave. I'm busy indexing your iPod" or "I'm sorry Dave. I'm busy doing scheduled maintenance" or "I'm sorry Dave. Could you repeat that?" Edited July 13, 2011 by Wilsons66604 eemcleod

eemcleod
If I had my druthers, I'd go with Peter Weller (as Buckaroo Banzai - not RoboCop). Then again, I'd like to listen to Sean Connery as well.
NorCal Hal
It would also be nice if ENGLISH were the persons primary language. Both my wife and I raise our eyebrows and ask "what did she say?" with the current talking box. Cute when your exit is something like North Main Street and she says "exit on N Main".....Guess they don't realize NSEW are directions. Wilson Phillips
"I'm sorry Dave. I had to re-format your USB device, again." Talk about causing some Road Rage! There were some good ones listed above. Would be hard to beat Patrick Stewart or HAL. Donald Merwin Elbert as The Trashcan Man from The Stand would be pretty good too. "Bumpty Bumpty Bump! My MP3s for you!" Winnona Rider would be another easily recognizable female voice. "Take a right at the next traffic light and we can shoplift some clothes at the mall." If it has to be female, Sigourney Weaver as Ripley from Alien would be pretty good.
