Bwalker
So got truck back from dealership today with sync update. Drove 10 miles home radio on all good. Locked truck came back 6 hrs later radio still on. Did master reset checked for updates via wifi and now it shows electric charge statues for a hybrid on dash. No radio controls or climate controls. And the strang thing is the power deploy running boards don't work. Any one with any idea would be great. It's going back to ford again...... on monday thanks everyone
Multitask
Yup, if they had it and it's not working right, then they should do something about it.... might replace the APIM
matt_noakes
i have a similar issue and was wondering if anyone had the same, what i believe happened was it had updated and messed something up. it now believes it is a hybrid. my steering wheel controls do not work and DAB radio does not load, in addition the backup camera now does not show. there is a message that shows saying emergency assistance is unavailable. i need help as local dealers need me are charging £195 just to diagnose not even help lol. has anyone had a similar issue? im not sure if im in the right thread however im quite new to forums. many thanks, Matt
Multitask
If the dealer did that, then they should fix it... if you did the update from the owner.ford.com site (or wifi which is not reliable BTW), I think they should still fix for free.... BUT, if you did the update from a site that is not official, then you are on your own.
Gadgetjq
Hey Matt, I'm just curious. Where did you download your update files from? The Ford update site 'should' have used your VIN to be sure you get the correct files. There's a helpline number on that download page you'll want to call for assistance (assuming they're even staffed right now) If you were going for the V3.4 update from the Cyanlabs site there are multiple options the owner/updater has to choose from. A wrong choice could probably cause what happened to you. If I recall correctly there's a discussion forum attached to that site where you might find help. What make, model and model year is your vehicle? And since you quoted Dealer assistance pricing in European currency, where are you located? Also, as Gadgetjq mentioned, where did you download this "update" from?
