massgtcs
Hello, Looking for some assistance. Just recently sync stopped downloading my text messages. I no longer get text notifications. When I press the text message icon, a message states to make sure my phone shares the messages with sync, which it is set to, then at the bottom, it gives me an option to re download, but when I press it the icon just spins. Not sure if there is anything I can do about it, short of a system reset, which I'm not even sure how to do that. Car is a 2016 Mustang GT Premium, Sync 3 v1. Phone is an LG G5, with Android 7.0. I'm reasonably happy with the system and this is the first text related issue, in the 4 months I've been using it. Any guidance would be helpful. dannyd17
I would do a "clean pairing" first. Delete the car from the phone and delete the phone from the car and start the pairing process from the beginning. If your phone updated itself, that may have affected how the Bluetooth connection works.
asteele
I have a 2016 Ford Mondeo and am using an Android phone (BlackBerry KeyONE) - the text notifications used to work great, but for reasons unknown the notifications stopped coming up a month or so ago, and no longer happen for me at all. I also get the constant spinning icon if I try to manually sync them. I have tried deleting and re-adding the Bluetooth device, but it makes no difference. I can only assume that a recent update to the Andoid Messenger app has broken the functionality with sync3, but have yet to read others with the same complaint so am not sure what needs to happen. My car is nearly a year old and hasn't had a single software update for sync3 - not quite sure why the car bothers to connect to the wifi at home when I return at the end of each day, as there isn't ever anything for it to be downloading!
