The list of apps for Sync 3 is really really poor.

My family is punishing the new McDonalds ordering app on my phone that was recently released for us in Australia, its very good.

Not sure if this is in the USA or not, but we basically create our own order and then you arrive at drive-thru and give them the pre-order number and its all done... or you walk into the restaurant and the order is prepared and paid for without you having to line up.

This is an app that should be developed for Sync 3! Of course I doubt it will ever make it, but its fun to dream.

Two years of Sync 3 and the list is a joke...

The list of command is a joke...

The only one for Climate system is "Climate, Temperature XX".

If you say "Temperature XX" forget it, apparently the systems is not sure if you are want to change the inside temperature, outside temperature or engine temperature...

Part of the problem is the restrictions that Google imposes when using Android Auto. Sync 3 supports AA and if Google would loosen their restrictions there would be a lot more compatible apps. Other than that it is largely up to the app manufacturers to create apps that are compatible with Sync 3. All Ford can do is publish the specs and try to get app manufacturers to build the appropriate apps.

So I have Sygic Car Navigation working on Sync 3 but Sygic does not want to change their GPS Navigation app to work with Sync 3, and neither of their apps work under Android Auto because Google will not allow them to use it.

The problem is not all Ford and Sync 3.

I've had success in trying "Set temperature to xx" without saying "Climate" first. It takes one voice command out of the process.

Why can't we write our own apps for sync3?  I want to see my google calendar on there.  And view my garage camera and control the door over IP.

I found a group called FMods that supposedly had a way to sideload apps into sync3, and there's even a couple games!
