Mercury1
Bottom line: Does iPhone 13 work with Sync 2 and Sync 3? Background: I have an iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 15.4.1 I have the following 3 cars: 1. 2014 Ford Flex (Sync 2, CCPU S/W version 3.10.16180.EA.0_Product) 2. 2017 Ford Edge (Sync 3, S/W version 3.0 Build 20204_Product) 3. 2019 Ford Flex (Sync 3, S/W version 3.0 Build 20204_Product) The iPhone 7 Plus works fine with each of the 3 cars. Am thinking about replacing the iPhone 7 with an iPhone 13. Does anyone have an iPhone 13 working with Sync 2 or Sync 3? If so, was it hard to get it to work properly? Thanks. Multitask
MIght want to define what you mean as 'work' Yes the 13 will sync to Sync 3 (unsure about 2, only because bluetooth can be picky), from there it will depend on what features you would want to work? Yes, an iPhone 13 works just fine with SYNC 3. Not hard to "get it to work properly". Just connect it to the vehicle as you did with your iPhone 7. I can not verify about SYNC/SYNC w/MyFordTouch. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
Mercury1
To Multitask: By "work" I am referring to just the basics - making/receiving a call, receiving text, 911 Assist. I am not interested in running mobile apps with Sync AppLink.

Sync3 does not seems to have any issues that I'm aware of....
Mercury1
A quick update regarding Sync 2, Sync 3, and iPhone. Rather than replace my iPhone 7 Plus as stated in my original post, last week I replaced my wife's flip phone (which will no longer work on the Verizon network after 12/31/2022) with one of the new iPhone SE models. I was able to easily connect the new iPhone SE successfully to both Sync 2/MyFordTouch (2014 Flex) and Sync 3 (2017 Edge and 2019 Flex), and make and receive calls accordingly. So the basic capability seems to work just fine with both Sync 2 and Sync 3. However, I am so far unable to connect either my iPhone 7 Plus or my wife's iPhone SE with my 1997 Mustang GT. Both phones are running the latest version of iOS (15.5). The cassette player, the CD player, and the climate controls work just fine in the Mustang ... I don't know what the problem could be! Multitask
Sync does not exist for something 1997, so it is really hard to say... could be a lot of things... does any other phone(s) work with it?
