Sparkyr234
First off Hello and any help would be appreciated. I have inherited a 2013 Ford F150 with touch screen but have a few questions. I paired my phone fine to radio but what is sync for. On the information button when my phone calls it says it no longer valid. Is sync a paid service? It says you can get traffic alerts and turn by turn directions but I dont think it has gps on this model. Can gps be added without going through dealer or is my sync just outdated. I have searched ford site for update but dont know what to do and afraid I may brick it. I am including a picture of what my version is. Can anyone help? Multitask
The Information you see at the top right means you have just a Compass, not GPS/NAV... just so you know. ? As far as Sync, most of it is no longer used. The Sync part that tells you about traffic alerts and weather and gas station locations has always been a paid service, but through Sirius/xm Syncing data from Sync to Ford no longer exists, and hasn't in almost a year... I would think its because Microsoft no longer makes or supports the Sync 1/2 they used to make for Ford... Sync 3 (of which you could update to) is on it's way out for Sync 4, sometime in the next year.... Kinda like Windows XP and 7 and no longer supported.....
