Muzicman61
Seems like since the last update, Ford Pass is no longer able to report my cars mileage or oil life. Simply says "--" for mileage and 0% for oil life. It is reporting correct fuel level. Anyone else noticed this? I've tried clearing the data and cache on my phone, logging out and back in, and even reinstalled the app. Same results.
Multitask
I don't use mine, or I'd check....
NOTMY911
Same thing with the Lincoln Way last week. Its now showing the mileage but I can't even find the Oil Life display anymore...
Gadgetjq
I just took a look at FordPass to see if mine was having the same issue. The app says we have to disable Android Auto to use it. Maybe that's the problem some are having? BTW there's a FordPass update ready for download this (Thursday) morning in the PlayStore, maybe the AppStore too. The update 'might' fix the mileage/oil life bug.
Muzicman61
No update so far today. And I don't use Android Auto...
punch-card
My Lincoln Way seem to be working today... It may be different than the Ford Pass Edited January 23, 2020 by punch-card
radarxxx
Hi Muzicman61, I am having the exact same problem. And yes, it was after the last Ford Pass update. I contacted a Ford Pass CSR. She tried to help troubleshoot the problem. Ford Sync was not communicating with the Ford Pass App. She told me next step is to take it to the Dealer. As my car is under warranty, I will do so next week. Unless the update Gadgetjq mentions fixes everything.

Ford Pass is actually communicating with Ford Sync. It's properly identifying my fuel level. Just not the odometer and oil. The only fix for this will be an update to the Ford Pass app and fix whatever they broke. I think that's the typical response from a CSR when they can't resolve the issue. Take it to the dealership. radarxxx
Seriously. The dealership. I know I don"t understand everything about the new technology, but My Ford Pass is not updating anything. Everything is frozen at Dec 10. Location, fuel level, oil life, everything. When In Ford Sync, I go to Ford Pass connect, connectivity settings, hit connect and it just spins no connection. But I hope an update from the PlayStore fixes things. Multitask
I don't use it, so that Ford does not know what I'm doing... heheh

Mine was stuck at Dec. 10 also until i uninstalled the app and then reinstalled the app and logged back in. Now I can see that it last updated recently, like X hours ago... which just goes to prove Ford Pass is communicating with the vehicle. But I'll be curious to see what your dealership says. radarxxx
I tried the uninstall and reinstall and it did nothing.

radarxxx
No dice. Was it the Jan 8 update that worked for you in the re-install?

Not sure what version i was on when I reinstalled the app. What I'd try is clear data and cache. Uninstall the app. Reboot phone. Reinstall app and log back in. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what else to try.
radarxxx
Thanks for your help. It must be my phone.

radarxxx
Yes, no problems until Dec update. The uninstall/reinstall does't work. I don't know what else it could be.
NOTMY911
If you got an iPhone, ditch the app from the cloud and then reinstall
radarxxx
No NOTMY911, I have a Samsung S9 plus and download from the PlayStore. I will wait for the next FP App update and see if that fixes things. Edited January 28, 2020 by radarxxx
NCEcoBoost
My Android phone was acting funny last week after the update. All of a sudden Ford Pass piped up and instructed me to immediately install the latest Sync3 update (I have done them all, for my vehicle, anyway), and then vanished. I went directly into FP and got nothing, so I waited. Took a few minutes and then it appeared with everything seemingly back to normal. I'll try a Vehicle Health Report next week. Right now my Fusion is headed into the dealership tomorrow for a "TSB" to prevent needing a new engine, so I'm kinda swamped. Just gotta love Ford, ahem. radarxxx
I know the feeling. Give them some Ford Pass satisfaction inputs while you are there. LOL.
radarxxx
So I finally had time to stop by a Ford Dealer and share this problem with them. After some discussions the tech thought the problem might be the TCU in the vehicle. He said he might have to reprogram the TCU. Anyway here are his tech notes: FordPass App not connecting to vehicle Performed ssm 48316-removed TCU fuse for 5 min/no new TCU programming available Clear DTC's and reset. TCU operating normally. I hope this might help someone in the future. Its good having the app work again.

I know that FordPass is connecting to my vehicle, as (A) it's states when it was last updated and (B) Shows the correct fuel level.
