mwr
From all I can read, the only way to use Android Auto on my 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid is to upgrade hardware and software to Sync 3, which costs over $2,000. I'm not going to spend $2,000+ for that, so is there any other way I can use Android Auto?

The only way is the way you read...to upgrade all of the hardware and software. It can be done cheaper by sourcing all the hardware through salvage yards or online sellers, but that carries its own set of risks. Good luck. mwr
Sourcing through salvage yards (for cheap) or online sellers (for big $) isn't for me, so I guess I just need to do without Android Auto as long as I have my 2015 FFH (which I intend to keep for a long time). Multitask
Going from Sync 2 to Sync 3 can be done for about 500-600 maybe less, sometimes more but not much more, it all depends on what you have and how much you spend to get the needed Sync 3 stuff... car-part.com is a good place to start for wrecked vehicles to get the parts from http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=3881 this is a good source for what you need to know

Multitask
After 2 Fusions they both came with no nav, so i upgraded from no-nav in the 2013 FFH, and added the HD radio as well... In the 2018, upgraded from no-nav to nav, and also now 3.4 and 1-18 maps, no HD radio yet... I'm looking to add memory feature to my existing seat (10 way)... I have the needed module and memory buttons, just need the wireing and then I'll add that .. I know of someone that has taken his 2013 S, and added most of the things you would find in a Titanium, but for 20th of the cost
