JetFixxxer
With Sync version currently installed Fj5T-14D544-AB. Trying to installed latest, but keep getting installation files not found. The DONTINDEX.MSA file isn't in the zip file as per the instructions. Not sure if that's the issue or not. I'm using a 8gb drive formatted to exfat.
Multitask
DONTINDEX.MSA just tells the system not to index it, waste of time.... but if you have it, move it over, it's a 0k file Being you posted in the Sync 2 area I will assume you have Sync 2 or less...., did the ford site tell you there was an update? 3.10 is the latest I'm aware of (not having Sync 2 anymore), or 4.4 if it's Sync non-MFT
JetFixxxer
Ford's telling me there a 4.6 update. It's Sync power by Microsoft.
Multitask
Ok, so you have the 4" screen... first off, are you having issues with the current one? IF not, leave it alone... If you are, then updating might fix it depending on what is wrong. I've read some things about people updating and it makes things worse.... 4.6 might be out there... You might be best to have the dealer do it, or at least test it to make sure it needs it, or can handle it... 8)
alcohenusa
4.6 breaks the ability to manually use Siri if you have iPhone, so I would leave it at 4.4 if that is what you have. I had to downgrade two vehicles due to the Siri issue.
JetFixxxer
I am having issue with current and I don't use iPhone. I keep losing the radio when I hook up my Note 9 or any other phone for that matter. SiriusXM, BT Audio, and USB play great when I have no phone connected bluetooth. Once I connect phone the audio can last a day or a few hours before it goes silent.
Multitask
A request to all... please don't use the word (Current) , tell us what you have (8" 4" etc...) and what version it is at!!! Someone will see this post 3 years from now and get confused!!
JetFixxxer
The speakers crackle like blown, then just go silent. If I put the USB to update the speakers start working for about an 1/2 hour.
