The version number of that one item is higher than the version of Sync that the site just offered me. I'd like to install the version from Ford and have made a USB. Since the previous file was only one item, I took a list at the manifest for the update from Ford. It contains 6 items. Can anyone explain in more detail what each item does? I'd imagine one item is nav, one is grace note, etc... I do IT work, so I'm just super curious about how the Sync updates are put together. One easy answer though is to say that these updates do not update any of the maps - that is a totally separate process! Updates can contain updates to voice commands, and a core OS, and gracenotes too - but not all updates change these things each time, and there are other parts updated that I don't understand.
