Delete a contact from SYNC manually ?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to delete a single contact out of the SYNC, instead of having to delete all of them ? My phone doesn't support auto phonebook download, so I manually pushed the contacts from the phone to the sync. Now I have an updated number for someone and I want to delete that one contact with the old number and push the new one with all the new updated numbers from my phone. If someone could help me out it would be very appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

I'm not in my car right now so I can't walk you through it, but you should be able to figure it out. Just look through the phone menus and look for contacts. Or better yet, look in your Sync owner's manual. I bet the information is there.

What version do you have? I have the '08 with Nav, and I have been unable to find a way to delete single contacts. It seems to be all or nothing.

There is a quick dial list which can be editted and there is also a phone book which I do not know how to delete a contacat which was manualy pushed to it.

Thanks for the replies, but I still can not find out how to do it. I have an '08 with Nav also, and I can't find any feature or anything to do delete one contact. It seems as if it deletes all or none.

Have you tried deleting that contact from your phone?

SYNC will automatically update your mobile phonebook and recent call history each time the phone connects to SYNC, so if it's not on your phone it shouldn't show up in SYNC...

His phone (mine also) does not support the "update contact list from phone", that is, "automatic downloads". If it did, what you say would work. I also have the same problem. Deleting a single contact from SYNC's contact list kills the whole list. Note the disabled options:
