I have a 2013 C-Max Hybrid and Applink is supported on my Nav system. The problem I am having is try to connect the Mobile Destinations app on my iPhone 5 to Applink. When I connect my iPhone 5 via USB to the C-Max > press the command button > say Mobile Apps the system responds with "invalid command". I say "Help" and there is no reference back from Sync about Mobile Apps?

I have downloaded and installed the latest Sync updates from syncmyride.com and returned a successful update status that I sent back to syncmyride.

What am I missing?

Yes I have read all the docs on that link. I have watched the video tutorial on youtube about how to make Applink work but the system does not think the command "Mobile Apps" is legitimate. I have the Nav option with My Ford Touch.

After downloading my phone book I am unable to select the contacts address as a destination. I can see the destination in the address book on my Nav screen but there is no way to select it. The phone numbers work fine.

Has anyone confirmed this works with IOS 6 and iPhone 5?

Thanks. As you say, it does work. I've found that through Bluetooth, it works fine. Through USB, it also displays cover art. I guess the Bluetooth doesn't have the bandwidth to pass that.

New question, I thought I could find "mobile applications" under Phone on the MFT? I don't display it. Does anyone else?

Found my answer on the owner's forum at syncmyride.com:

1. MyFord Touch currently does not support Applink. Only Sync without MyFord Touch supports Applink.

2. There is no update for MyFord Touch that supports Applink.

3. There is no reasonable explanation as to why Sync without MyFord Touch supports Applink while the more expensive, theoretically upscale Myford Touch does not.

4. There is no explanation nor any excuse whatsoever as to why dealers, Ford websites, literature, press releases, TV commercials, etcetera continue to mislead owners into thinking they are getting Applink with their MyFord Touch systems.

5. There is conjecture and at least one statement from a forum moderator that Ford may someday update MyFord Touch to support Applink, but there is no promise date nor even any hint that Ford is actually working on this implementation. I believe forum moderators are contractors and don't work directly for Ford. They may have a little bit of an "in" as to what Ford is doing about these things but it appears on the whole they are pretty much as baffled as the rest of us when it comes to these matters. So don't "shoot" the moderator.

I have a 2012 Fusion SEL with Sync (text only, not the graphical screen). I can get Pandora to play with the USB cable and it will show the artist and the song name, but if I try to do the same thing with BT, it doesn't show any of that. No big deal I guess. The real issue though is how do I use the Thumbs up, Thumbs down and other Pandora commands that it talks about. When I try them with the voice thing, it doesn't recognize the commands. If I try it with the buttons it will only allow me to advance to the next song but none of the others. Do those commands not work on my model year?
