Answer: SYNC is made by Microsoft. Microsoft application software has a lot of bugs that show up for some people and work OK for others. Microsoft never fixes such problems. Ford is totally unresponsive when notified of such problems as well. That is just the way it is. Other than a myriad of such minor and completely uncorrectable problems, the SYNC system has lots of more major problems that are similarly neglected and unrepaired by Ford and Microsoft over many years. I reply "yes" (or "no") and nothing happens. My sync recognizes when I say yes to update route. But it is pain because unlike every other gps it does not do it by itself. So every time you go one block away to miss some traffic or make a side trip you need to basically start over. Much easier to use my cell phone.
