wharrell
2021 F150 with the latest January version of Sync 4 Issue: today I noticed by vehicle hotspot was not working and in the sync 4 it is greyed out and not accessible. Also in the Ford Pass app you used to be able to call up the hotspot configuration and that no longer works My ATT vehicle data plan is active and they have sent a refresh signal The other vehicle connectivity features work such as remote access, navigation, navigation weather and radar and Sirius XM 360L services that use the modem. So the modem is working it is just the hotspot that no longer works I have tried all type of resets with no success ATT says I need a new AIPM from Ford but to me it seems to be software related Has anyone else experienced this issue and what is the resolution in the meantime I will repurchase and reactivate a Verizon hotspot for work until Fiord can resolve this issue Edited May 2, 2023 by wharrell

It is difficult (at best) to attempt to blind Internet diagnose an issue like this. While it never hurts to ask online, the reality is that even if another member had a very similar issue, there are myriad possible causes, so their particular solution would be of little help. Nevertheless, if another member did have a similar issue, I am sure they will jump in to try and help. In the meantime, is your 2021 F-150 still within the 3 year/36,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty? Hopefully yes? If yes, call and schedule a service appointment with your Ford Dealer to have the issue properly diagnosed and corrected. Keep us updated and good luck. wharrell
The Ford Pass app was updated by Ford Saturday and the Wi-Fi hotspot functionality has been removed from the app. Perhaps the Ford Pass app is the issue? The only thing for sure is that Ford woefully remains behind the technology curve with Synch 4. They are always not where they need to be based on the high cost of the system. Muzicman61
The last update I had to FordPass was on April 5th and I still have the wifi option on my wife's 2021 Edge.
Multitask
Just a thought, but you have a certain time and amount of data that is allowed before you have to pay for it... could it be that you went beyond that , and now have to pay?
