  1. This is similar to a post I did a while ago, when an updated contact in my phone (Android Samsung Galaxy 9) would not download to the Sync phonebook. I now have a more serious issue. If I delete a contact from my phone, upon either re-uploading the phonebook or deleting and downloading the phonebook, the deleted phone contact will not show up. But if I add a new contact, they will not show up at all, regardless of re-uploading the phonebook or deleting and downloading the phonebook. I thought that maybe the phonebook was limited to the number of contacts (the way navigation favorites is limited to 50), but that does not appear to be the case. I did do a hard SYNC reset and no change. So I know the phonebook is being updated since deleted contacts no longer show up, but no new contacts are being downloaded. Anyone have a clue?
  2. 2011 Ford Edge Limited Tried to do a voice activated call to Jackie, but it gave me other suggestions. Jackie is no longer in the phone book, but has been for years (my daughter). She's still a 911 emergency contact and pressing that button calls her. I do a phone book delete and download every few months as people come and go. To see if it was downloading, I removed two contacts. They were no longer in the phone book. But neither was my daughter. I even created a new contact in my phone using Jackie as a business name. Even 1 Jackie as I have businesses that start with numbers in my phone that are in my phone book. I did restart my phone and did a Sync reset using the program I downloaded years ago. Just stumped.
  3. I have a 2014 Fusion with MyFord Touch SYNC I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 running Android I cannot get the phonebook to upload the SYNC I have done a SYNC Master Reset I have unpaired and re-paired the phone When I select Upload Phonebook, the only number that shows is the number of the phone
  4. I've got a 2011 Mustang with the Navigation system and the phone is an LG800G by LG. I had the phone send the phonebook to the car and it only partially works. When I'm looking at the phonebook screen in the car, it's got it diveded up into sections such as ABC, DEF, GHI, etc. In the ABC section only the first three names are listed. In each of the other sections (like GHI) only one name is listed. If I use Sync and tell it to call a name that I know is in the phonebook, it will call it even though it's not displayed on the screen listing. So I do have the functionality of being able to make the calls, but I'd like it if ALL the names were displayed on the screen.
  5. iPhone with IOS 5.x allows downloading of favorite contacts only to the sync phonebook. I have 2013 Ford edge with 4.7.x sync (non-touch) and iphone 4s. The key is to set it on the iphone's Bluetooth settings for "sync". Enable favorites and don't check "All Contacts". The "Other Groups" setting implies you might have more flexibility but none of my Outlook groups showed up as an option. I could not get "push contacts" or Ford's "Sync My Phone" to work (files get generated to the thumb drive, but Sync didn't like the signature). Suggestion to Ford: Make a rudimentary contacts import a part of the Sync platform. Then users would have a lot of control over what gets sucked into the Sync phonebook. My Outlook contacts, 1200 entries, has too much private data to be sitting outside all day and all night in my car. By reducing the phonebook to just favorites you get better performance on the voice recognition. As you can tell I went the long way around to get to this solution -- finally saw the link on the Ford website. Can't find it in the user's manual. http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/phone-compatibility-sync#reload
  6. My wife has a 2010 Explorier with the Nav touchscreen and a Samsung Focus cell phone. The phonebook will not download to Sync. I have tryed the following: Removed the phone from Sync and paired it again. Changed the name of the name of the phone removed and paired it again. Turned off automatic phonebook download, Removed the phone and paired it again and tryed to manually download the phonebook. In each case the phonebook would not download. It seemed to be trying but would fail. One thing else I tryed to narrow down if it was the phone or the Sync on her car, I removed it from the listing on my car (2011 Flex with the nav screen) and paired it. The phonebook downloaded without any problem. Can anyone help me. Bill
  7. Hi, Just got my Ford Edge yesterday and looking for help in understanding how to set the destination from the phonebook address from iPhone and Android. I have the phones synced and I can see the address on the contact's main screen but when I want to use it as a destination I get the following message: "Invalid Address. Please update the contactinformation on your phone" - original spelling. I called support but they weren't very helpful asking several times if I have a navigation system installed and to make sure that the SD card is in the reader even though I mentioned several times that my navigation system is working when I type or speak a destination but can't seem to read an address from the integrated phonebook. Thx.
