  1. I recently purchased the AA wireless adapter for my 2020 Lincoln Nautilus to facilitate a Bluetooth wireless connection for my Motorola Edge Plus 2022 to Sync 3. By setting the resolution to 110 dpi I was able to get full portrait mode to display on my Sync 3 screen in my Nautilus. I use APK Mirror to stay current with the latest version of Android Auto. The photo below shows the display. The weather widget displays once the location is updated. 2. Started having issues with waze back in July. The vehicle on the app freezes but everything else works fine. If I unplug and plug back in it will reset on my current position but usually freezes soon after. Google Maps works completely fine and waze on my phone doesn't have any issues like this in other vehicles.
  3. Just got a 2016 F150 w Sync 3. Have a Samsung Galaxy S7. All the tutorials I watched online show an icon for Android Auto on the home screen of Settings. There is no icon on my Setting screen. I swiped to the other screen also. I've also connected to wifi and updated to most current updates to system. Help?
  4. I just got a new 2018 F150 with sync3. My phone is too old for android auto. Looking over the tested phones they all seem to be old like even lollipop. Seems like I should look for oreo. Will that connect to my screen for maps and routes and whatever else?
  5. I do not have an Android Auto icon on my Sync 3 Screen, how do I install it?
  6. I just bought a escape with sync 3 and I'm trying to get android auto from Google to work I tryed 2 different phones and went to the dealer dose anyone have any idea how to get it to work
  7. I have a 2017+ Ford Fiesta with Sync 3 and 8in touchscreen and a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone. I'm in the UK. Since buying the car in late October I've found some glitches in how the car and phone work together through Android Auto. For example: - Sometimes if I'm listening to Spotify via AA then make or receive a phone call, after the call the audio is coming only from the front speakers or goes to the radio rather than returning to Spotify - Sometimes when I connect the phone to the car via a USB cable the connection isn't made first time and I have to try again These aren't enormous problems but they're irritating. I wonder if how I connect the two could be to blame. So I have some questions: - Given that Android Auto works via a USB cable rather than Bluetooth, should I switch off Bluetooth entirely, or is it needed for AA to function? - What is the optimum sequence of events when connecting and disconnecting? Currently I switch on the car's ignition, wait for Sync 3 to start up and make a Bluetooth connection to the phone, then connect the cable. Most times (but not always), AA then starts up. When I leave the car I switch off the engine, then open the door so Sync 3 switches off, then when the screen is blank I disconnect the USB lead. Is this the right way to do it? Can the Sync 3 on/off switch be used in any way? Any tips on how to make the Sync 3 Android Auto experience glitch-free would be appreciated.
  8. Hi all, I'm hoping somebody can assist in my quest to get Android Auto working in my 2017 Focus ST. The Sync 3 system is running the latest version 3.0, has the latest navigation updates, but still has the same issue it had when it was collected in Feb this year, despite Ford claiming the update from 2.2 would fix it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIxyfECjTXs As you can see in the Video, Sync is up to date and I have tested 2 phones. Both phones behave exactly the same despite one being on Android 5.0, and the other being on Android 7.0. Both USB Ports behave the same. Both phones have been tested on OEM cables and upgraded Anker braided cables. My Ford dealer had the car for 4 hours to try and solve the problem, and claimed it was working fine but within 1 mile of driving away from the dealer, the problem returned. It transpired that the technician was trying out the 'Apps' part of Sync 3, and as I was at the dealers waiting my phone connected and he was able to load Accuweather and Glympse just fine, and thought that he was testing Android Auto! Despite the firmware being re-flashed, the dealer thinks it's a firmware problem but I'm convinced it's hardware related. Can anyone offer assistance on how to cure this annoying problem, as I don't trust my dealer as they openly admitted that they had no idea what Android Auto was or how it worked.
  9. Decent write-up on tech that I'm starting to think I'm never going to see in my car... http://mobilesyrup.com/2016/07/31/ford-sync-3-hands-on-canada/
