  1. HI OK. I can no longer download the files as it indicated I am at NA18, NOT< Still at NA17, Also when I out in the USB stick into the car to try and upgrade, nothing happens, NO "Updating System Software" so it looks like once the system believes you have updated or completed the file, you can no longer change it. I am trying to contact Ford to see what can be done, to correct this. Fred
  2. Hi bbf2530 Deleted the email so don't have that to go back to. Really crazy, Can't call as the number is busy ALL the time, been calling for 4 hours straight.
  3. Hi Gadgetjq I have now been calling that number from 9:00 am and it is 1:19 right now, busy, busy, busy, I think they come in the morning pick up the phone and leave it off line. I will try to email them. Will check with dealer tomorrow not far from the house.

Hi bbf2530 So guess what, once you install it in your car, and it does it's update, it will not let you re-install it again, I went to the Sync site it says I am at NA18, however the radio screen still shows NA17. SO I am not sure which is right, but I am no longer able to update the software and that is that. SO I will see what happens over the next few days, will be taking it in for service in about 3 weeks, will get dealership to confirm the actual software status. thank you for all your help, regards Fred
  5. Hi bbf2530 OK I think you miss understood what happened. I put the USB stick in..and at the top of the screen, indicated system is updating software...... driving , driving.....30 min or so later the screen said, completed and I said OK. Screen rebooted went black, Ford logo came up and then to the regular screen with the NAv/Audio, Phone ......stopped the car. Turned off the vehicle, waited about 30 sec restarted car, looked at Sync screen info....scrolled down to the Nav info, says NA17 still. I never say any info screen about what was going to happen next or any of the screen in the document that I downloaded. Just "Software updating" no other info except the end where it said Completed,and hot OK. Will try again tomorrow.
  6. Hi bbf2530 OK. Will try once more, I drove, saw the message indicating the update was completed, left USB and went through the install again, now I am going to try once more tomorrow and see what happens. If not, will take it to the dealer and have them do it I guess. If they do not charge me for the install. Ha, ha, like that's not going to happen, we all know that.
  7. Hi bbf2530 I drove around for about 40 min waited until it said update completed, parked the car, went for lunch, came back started car, looked at licence info said NA 17. I can try doing it again, and see what happens, my car is a 2019 Ford Edge Titanium with Nav. Got it in late February, so assumed this should be good to upgrade as it said no charge,. Any suggestions would be appreciated, DO i need to re-copy the files back to the USB stick as I am not sure there is a file that gets updated or something which stops you from using the same files ?????
  8. HI I updated, took like 38 min. restarted took a look at the Sync Nav Lic, still shows NA17, never updated to NA18 or is it still NA17??
  9. Appreciate the reasponse, however not whining, actually my work life is all about Technology....Our government sometimes goes over board with restrictions..when other products are approved.......... issue closed on my end.
  10. Agreed, today's Technology is yesterdays .... 8 track. Changes too fast and you never get what it promises .
  11. So all of us who just purchased a new 2010 vehicle with the antiqueted Navigation system will be out of luck once the MyFord feature starts going into the new 2011 lines of vehicles. Ford really knows how to suck the last penny out of the customer without giving anything back. One of my firends has a 2009 Linclon MKX wth Nav 2 years old.... nothing new from what I have in the Escape . Ford - Cusotmer Service in Canada does not have any helpful advice.... never going to happen. We (Canadians) are second class once you own a vehicle and expect customer service. On top of that we up here in Canada you can't even get the basic services that other people in the US get, live travel Link, Healther Check and Weather information. Cost me 40% more for 75% less. Wish I had gone with the Hyundia Santa Fe, at least their Nav system is current, configurable and works a lot cleaner..... but no..... " Let's By Amercian" right. Keep this economy going, had to listen to my Oakville Plant friends. Welcome to Free Trade...... we all win............... well some of you do.
