  1. What build level of MFT is your unit on? For maps after A8 the unit needs to be on 3.08, the final was 3.10. If you go to owner.ford.com, what build does it show you at? Have you performed a master reset since you got the new card?
  2. Not surprising, the last vehicle to roll off the line with MFT was in 2016.
  3. The module needs the asbuilt config for your vehicle loaded into it. A Focus is close, but not quite the same.
  4. If you're referring to the MFT 8" screen it should as long as the APIM isn't defective.
  5. I would post this on FMods, they tend to be deeper in the weeds on changing things at a low level.
  6. Basically no FordPass apps were ever really developed https://fpcommunity.ford.com/t5/Help/What-do-I-do-if-FordPass-doesn-t-appear-in-the-Mobile-apps/ta-p/72
  7. Have you tried downloading Fordpass from the Play Store and connecting to the vehicle? What build of Sync3 are you currently on?
  8. While you're playing from the device, go to the Sync3 media player app and select re-index, then unplug the device. After the next ignition cycle Sync3 will perform a reindex of the device. This can also be a symptom of the rwdata partition on the APIM filing up, if you are on 3.4.x, this bug got introduced in .22251 and the latest version .23188 fixes the bug.
  9. Are you using MP3s or ? File structure should be Directory named Music in the root And then either an additional path of /Artist/Album/<with the file here> or just /Artist/<with the file here> or /Album/<with the file here> It only loads one album art and that would be named cover.jpg, it would go in the directory with the files, if Sync3 can't find album art it does a best guess from the loaded GraceNotes db. If you use something like MP3tag it will show you the actual tags, what Windows shows is not always a readable tag.
  10. What you have are the symptoms of the rwdata partition filling up bug that got introduced with .22251. If you update to .23188 via a USB you're problems should go away.
  11. That is completely normal. A Sync update won't give you controls that weren't there before. Ford removed the climate screen after the 2016MY on the Fiesta/Focus/Kuga/CMax/BMax & Escape. You can enable it using ForScan in the APIM AsBuilt mode.
  12. Have you uninstalled FordPass and reinstalled it rather than just deleting the vehicle?
  13. This comes down to year and model, the MKZ and Fusion got 5 iterations of free maps with the 1st one being whatever was loaded on the APIM when shipped. Other 2020MY models only got 3 and recently I saw that on some 2024's Ford had cut it to 1. The subscription is based on 1st iteration of the map being purchased, not the calendar date. So if you bought a 5 year subscription to get NA2.22 today you would get NA222, NA223, NA224, NA225 & NA226. If Ford were to drop NA223 a month after you bought your subscription, you would have to fight with them to give you an extra year as these are actually owned by TeleNAV. You also can't switch regions, so if you were to export the car from the US to say Brazil you would have to buy a new subscription.
  14. Did you do a master reset after you upgraded from Sync 3.0.x to 3.4.x ?
  15. Ok, here's the problem... 2013 Edge is not Sync 3 or even Sync 2, it's My Ford Touch, the last version for that was 3.10 If your screen is divided into 4 quadrants (phone, climate, audio, NAV/ball compass) or you have a label; "Sync powered by Microsoft" you have MFT. Sync 3 was introduced on some models in 2016 (eg Escape, F150) and other models in 2017 (eg Fusion). Go to the General button on the home screen then hit About Sync If you have Sync 3 lower than v3.2.x the highest level offered by Ford for your vehicle is v3.0.20204. If you have Sync 3 higher than v3.2.x the highest level offered by Ford is v3.4.23188 Now the question, "can I go from 3.0.x to 3.4.x", officially through Ford the answer would be NO. That said you can use Cyanlabs updater at your own risk, just remember that a dealer is not going to be able to troubleshoot a bad upgrade, nor will you be able to pull updates directly from Ford's site as you will no longer be on a supported version.
