  1. Sporter, I am having the exact same issue as you on my 2016 F150. I did the SYNC3 v3.0 upgrade via USB, successful intallation message, and tried 3 new CarPlay-compatible USB hubs (the last one directly from Ford). The display shows SYNC3 v3.0, I keep getting the incompatible USB hub message, and CarPlay does not work. I did not try the battery disconnect yet, but maybe I will. I wish I could just reapply the v3.0 upgrade, but I don;t think that is possible, although I have not tried. I have not gone to the dealer since I have not seen that to be a successful route from yours and other online experience. Question - Did the battery disconnect screw up anything else on the car that you needed to reset?
