Perogymcgee

Hey all, I bought a 2012 ford escape limited with sync 1 with the navigation touchscreen and I am unable to fr a consistent connection of my phone to the sync system. Most times it won't connect but the odd time it does. Even when it does connect, I can't get any music to play through Bluetooth. Even the line in aux or USB port don't work. Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something? I've tried the battery disconnect and fuse pull. Nothing changes. ? Thanks for any help or advice!
