  1. I'm very surprised the designers didn't keep that feature from the old Escape. With all the electronic gadgets and computerized assistance and hi tech wizardry, they dropped the ball on the simplest of things. I find it hard to believe that their design team laid the back seat (60 section) down and either said: "Yup that looks good"...or "ahhh who cares if it's not flat, nobody's gonna notice" Or with the case of the Nav system simply allowing you to name a town and then giving you the route....these things would have been so easy to include, but they blew it in my humble opinion.
  2. Thanks Musicman, Yes all of the older versions allowed you to fold everything up like that which would make the seat backs lay flat, which was very handy and convenient especially if you have a dog back there. Unfortunately, in the 2017 Titanium (I don't know about any of the other trims), the lower half of the seats are fixed in place and the seat backs are the only sections that you can move...unless I'm missing something. NS
  3. Thanks Multitask, That would seem to be a complete miss by the designers of the Nav system hey ? To me, it would be an obvious feature to include....say if you're traveling and don't know anything about a town you might want to check out. Anyway, much appreciated ! NS
  4. Hi all. Long time Escape owner here (this is my 4th) but new to the redesigned version. Just traded in my 2010 for a 2017 Titanium. Wow, it's like a computer on wheels ! I have 2 questions: 1- Is there any way to tell the Sync 3 Nav system vocally that I just want a city or town name as my destination ? It seems I have to know an exact address, intersection or POI and I can't simply tell it for example: "Destination. Halifax Nova Scotia" . I would rather not have pull over and type the city name using the touchscreen. 2- Is there a trick to folding the 60 section of the rear seats all the way flat? The 40 section folds flat without a problem. The larger section remains raised by about 2 inches above the smaller one. Is it just because the rear armrest adds bulk to the seat and that's as flat as it can go ? Thanks for any replies. NS
