  1. I have a 7th generation iPod Touch which I use with sync 3.4. Some of the Playlists show up as blank on the Ford sync system. The work around that I found is to access the playlist on the actual iPod Touch by touching it on the iPod and for whatever reason once you do that the playlist work fine with the ford sync screen. You only have to do this once and it remembers that the playlist is there indefinitely. Pretty strange....
  2. I am currently running sync 3.4 build 21098 on my Lincoln nautilus. I updated the maps fairly recently by usb. Recently an OTA update came via wifi 4U5T-14G422-CAH_1615428946000.TAR.GZ. Seems to have downloaded ok but now is stuck for hours in the installing mode. I have a picture attached. How long should this take? Anything to do? Thank you
  3. That may be a good idea. my ipod is also in the arm rest usb. I think however the ipad having the setting auto lock off, in other words display always on is a bad idea overnight or the iPad battery
  4. I believe the issue was at the display on the iPod was staying on. I just turned on the display auto lock to 1 minute. We'll see if that has an effect but I believe the iPod was simply draining because it's screen was on
  5. Two observations. While using the USB collection in the console next to the seat on my 2020 Lincoln nautilus In order to see all my playlists contents, initially I had to manually go into the playlists on the actual iPod. Now works great. Otherwise Sync 3 reported some lists empty Occasionally I am finding my iPods battery dead and it has to recharge while driving. Any idea why the battery would drain when the car is off? thank you Eli
  6. My 7th generation iPod Touch arrived. Works great with sync 3.4 Was not a cable issue: 5th generation simply will not display artwork or titles while playing but works fine with Bluetooth. Must be something about the operating system. original Apple cable made no difference. There should be a site informing people of compatibility of the different Generations of MP3 players
  7. I just tried my friends iPhone via the same lightning cable. Did not let it start Apple carplay. Music played fine. I suspect it's the old iPod
  8. Tried 4 different cables. Think one is an official apple cable but will borrow another from someone later this week I suspect this to be a software glitch with sync that will be updated in the future
  9. Tried the master reset. Didn't work. Will try Apple cable and let you know
  10. Hi That I don't believe I am using a genuine apple cord, although I just tried two others, including an Anker cord and an amazon basics cord. Same deal. They work fine in my other car. The music plays great: I can browse the iPod but I don't see the artist/song n the 8" display or in the dash display. I will take a picture when I have a moment
