My car is a 2018 Fusion, and my phone is a Samsung S8 Active. I have installed Android Auto and Waze on the phone. I understand that the phone needs to be plugged into the usb port to use both apps. I also use the phone to listen to music. My questions are: 1) With the phone plugged in and android auto running, I can not listen the my music. The phone is locked out for that. I'm able to choose Google Play Music. Is this normal, or am I missing something? 2) Seems that I can send a text through Android Auto by using the voice button on the steering wheel. However, it doesn't receive texts. I have to unplug the phone to see if I get a response. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks, it must have been a glitch in the phone. Started working like advertised couple hours after I posted my question.

I have a 2018 Fusion with the sync 3. I have it set up to play music on my phone. It starts playing just fine until I leave the driveway. When the phone disconnects from the WiFi in the house, the media will automatically switch from the phone to FM radio. I have to go ell it to play music from the phone. Just wondering if this is normal. I have no troubles anytime else. Mike B
