In my new 2017 vehicle, whenever I ask for a different genre, it starts playing the first song alphabetically and I have to change it back to Shuffle. It will save it that way after powering off the vehicle and over multiple days but as soon as I ask for another genre, it starts from the first song again, although the last time I listened to that genre I had set it to Shuffle. I previously had a 2009 vehicle which didn't have this problem. I don't recall ever having to reset it to Shuffle during the eight years I owned it.

I'm using a USB drive and I have sync set to shuffle songs which it does until I ask for a different genre, then I have to set it to Shuffle again. Is there something I'm not doing to make it save that setting?
