  1. Hi...I was able to upload the Sync 3 2.2 upgrade to my 2016 Edge and it was successful (so it says). When I went to use the Navigation, I noticed that there were no voice instructions and there was a voice button on the screen with an 'check' through it...when I clicked on it, it did change color but the 'check' did not go away and there was no voice. Also, when I click the voice control button on the steering wheel, I get a message saying that Voice Recognition is Not Ready. I tried different things...reloading update, resetting to factory settings (it did not remove the update)...I chatted with Ford and was told to reset the radio (hold seek button and radio power button at same time)...nothing has worked. I did call the dealer and they said to bring it in (sounded like he never heard of this). I have an appointment for next month... Anyone familiar with this or have any ideas? Thanks! segald
  2. Update: Sorry, forgot to give an update, although it's not a final update...I was all set to attempt to disconnect the battery as suggested by the dealer and of course when I went to start the Edge, the display was fine. I did take it to get an oil change and state inspection at the dealer and said they would take a look at it...said no codes were showing and it appears to be fine. So all was well until I used the remote start today (which is what happened the last time) and even though the display was blank, I could tell that it was on. I turned off the vehicle, opened and shut the door and restarted and it was fine. So, I would think that the remote start has something to do with it - any suggestions before I call the dealer? Dave
  3. Thanks for the advice, RunningQuark...I think I might want to leave battery-disconnection to the experts...I always have the feeling I am going to disconnect the wrong cable and electrocute myself!
  4. Hi...everything was fine when I drove to the gym...I started the Edge using the remote-start (as I usually do when it's cold out) and when I pushed the starter button after getting into the vehicle, they screen was already black and did not turn on. The radio and back up camera still work fine. Any ideas? Dave
