  1. I found out that: 1) You can find used SYNC3 hardware at car-parts.com for around $1,250. 2) Mechanic install is another couple hundred. 3) Supposedly, self-parking won't work. I can't figure it out anyway, so big deal.
  2. I dropped my 2014 MKZ off to get two recalls fixed and update the software (not just Sync). The dealer gave me a 2017 MKZ as a loaner. The Sync 3 screen and UI is so much better than what's in my '14. So, is it at all possible to upgrade to Sync 3 short of dropping in a whole new center stack? Of course, the fact the '17 uses buttons and knobs instead of just the stupid touchscreen make dropping a new center stack in very appealing. And safer.
  3. I have a 2014 Fusion (used, corporate car). More often than is necessary, Sync goes deaf and I have to yell commands or wait for it to wade thru "Say 1 Call Home at Home", "say 2 Call Home at house", etc. Or it doesn't respond at all. I realize that faulty, buggy software is par for the course with Microsoft, but is there a fix? And I'm talking about when the car is not moving and the A/C is off.
