I got it from local junk yard.

No my car came with Sync 2, but I did sync 3 upgrade kit meaning hardware not software upgrade.i didn't pay 2k for it I paid $150 for the sync 3 module n screen.

I got a 2015 Ford Mustang GT I did sync 2 to sync 3 upgrade. When I got to my ford owner account it know i got sync 3 in my car.

Yes u can,but u going to need to program Sync 3 module to your vehicle vin.
