Yes you have the latest version if you have the MyTouch system. If you have the basic system the latest update is SYNC 4.4 but read through the forum before you update as there are a lot of issues with that software package

Actually both versions, SYNC and Ford MyTouch have navigation. Mytouch has the screens and shows turn by turn directions. SYNC2 has Destinations where you program a destination on your PC or phone and load it onto your account. You can then get turn by turn voice directions only. Be careful when updating MyTouch as there have been issues reported where the navigation feature is lost when the upgrade is complete

As far as navigation goes use your smart phone instead. Load WAZE onto your phone and you have a navigation system that will show you construction, location of police, traffic flow with the ability to reroute you if travel time gets excessive, road hazards, weather hazards, gas stations and food, speed limits on most roads, gives turn by turn direction by voice and shows upcoming turns on the display, and it is kept updated. No need to update maps. Program a destination and waze finds the best way using the road preferences in your settings. You can even chat with other wazers if you are stuck in traffic. Best of all its FREE. Give it a try and if you dont like it simply remove it from your phone

Not until they release an update for sync. I had the same problem with SYNC until i went and found a module that had an older version installed. I swapped them and I dont deal with SYNC 4.4 problems anymore. Supposedly 4.6 was released but I think someone read the software names and thought that was 4.6. The SYNC 4.4 update software names all end with 46

If Ford was smart they would offer free updates to SYNC through dealers. In this way FORD could increase traffic through its dealerships and potentially generate additional sales of other products. Charging $100 to upgrade SYNC simply drives people away.

Your phone syncs up , via bluetooth, with the vehicle for use as a phone. The system downloads your phone book so you can dial by voice and sends that number to the phone to dial. Once connected in that fashion the audio output ids routed through the vehicle and you can listen and talk. Once the call is complete the system disconnects from the phone. While you are in a call any sounds generated by the phone are routed to the vehicle as well. To get any audio from the phone other than a call you have to go to the media menu and select the bluetooth option. Only then will your phones audio be sent through the vehicle speakers. I dont know if you can still make or recieve calls while connected in this fashion. Hope this helps

I cant believe I'm about to say this. SYNC reads the phone book as your phone sends it over bluetooth. If you phone sends the wrong information that is what SYNC will display. To see if SYNC is the issue try pairing a different phone and see if the phone book loads the same way.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunatly you can not change the voice in SYNC. The sad part is you can change the voice in almost everything else from your phone to your cheap GPS system but you can not change it in the $1000 or more sync system

Pull the terminal off the battery and let the vehicle sit for at least 10 minutes. IT could be the fluctuations in the voltage while you were cleaning the terminal may have caused the system to get confused.

Same here. The database was updated and it seems a lot of info was lost. Hopefully they correct the issue shortly. I dont want my SYNC to disappear like the database

What format is your music being saved as? That would be my first guess
