We found a phone number and called and got it. Next fight is this USB sync update that isn't working! OH technology. Can not believe they haven't come up with a way to just send the update to the car!

I have tried all the buttons and nothing is working so maybe something is broken. Maybe I need to take it back to the dealer.

Hi we just bought a 2016 Escape. It has a rear view camera but doesn't beep when we backup. How can I find out if it has the beeps and they aren't working or if it just doesn't have the beeps?

OK so I followed the video and that didn't work. I think the issue is that no buttons in that car control the options on the bottom row. I wanted to do a sync factory resent and that is a bottom row option so can't do that. SYNC and MY VEHICLE show up on her phone but never connects to the car. The car just keeps wanting to connect to that other person's phone. Photos below of dash and phone

There are no buttons below the screen and I will check on the sync. I guess that is what I thought I was doing when I hit add phone but maybe the link you sent will help out. Thanks As of today still not paired.

Hi I just bought my daughter a 2016 Ford Escape. We cannot figure out how to sync her phone. We have tried hitting the "phone" button on the buttons display and it brings it up and then says can't find the old owners phone. The book says hit ok after it says it won't connect but that doesn't do anything. I see ADD at the bottom but have no idea how to get to the bottom row of options. I have hit every button known to man and it doesn't get to add. We have tried menu and Bluetooth and no success there either as the need is to be on the bottom row to hit add and we can't figure out how to get there. It says in the book touchscreen but this doesn't seem to be a touch screen. Any advice would be appreciated. I have attached a photo. Zerelda is not my daughter so must be previous owner. I can't get to add, delete or conn at the bottom. No buttons seem to allow me access to the bottom row.

WOW that is awful. 2-3 years is huge. It is definitely frustrating to pay for a car to have navigation system and then not be able to use it. Thanks for the feedback.

This weekend I was trying to find a location and my navigation wouldn't find it. If I chose the street address it wouldn't allow me to pick the address starting with #2. It only gave me the option to start with #6. Tried others in same area and same thing. I am wondering if this area has grown so much that my navigation needs to be updated? How do I do that? thanks in advance.

Hello I have a 2011 Ford Edge. I have always had my iPhone synced and the car would alert when I got a text message and it would read it to me if I chose for it to. It never let me text back via the car..always had to use the phone for that. Same phone but it updated to ios 10. Since then it won't alert to texts at all and because the phone still connects to the car my phone is silent so I don't hear the texts. The phone part still works and will ring through the car and talk through the car. I have tried every setting in my iPhone and the car panel. I tried one messaging setting in the car and got an error that says the currently connected phone does not support text messaging via Bluetooth. I don't know what that means as it used to. Maybe that means it doesn't support me texting back via dictation through the car? I don't know but this is the whole reason I bought the car was to be able to be hands free. Any advice?

Hi So when I logged in to my Ford account this weekend it said my sync software had an update. So I put it on the flash drive then in to my car. The update took about 30 minutes, as it said it would, and seemed to go well. After the update though my phone wouldn't work with the sync. It found my phone but would not pair. So I deleted the phone from the car and deleted the sync on blue tooth from my phone and started all over. It worked the 2nd time and appeared everything synced but as I was driving I got a text and a few things were now different. 1 - My phone made no sound so I didn't know I got a text. It was like when I leave my blue tooth headphones connected...my phone goes silent because the sound is in the headphones. 2- They text did not show up on the car's sync panel. It used to show up on the screen and the instrument panel and I could hit a button and it would read it. Now nothing. I went to messaging and got this error (attached) which didn't make sense since the car alerted me and read my text messages prior to the software upgrade. So help! What happened and how do I get it back. Without that feature I am going to go nuts. Finally, will Ford ever have the technology so that i can reply to text? Maybe it does just not in my car?? I have to hit the text on my phone and hit the microphone button on my phone to get the phone to do word to type text. My friends car asks if she wants to reply when text comes in and she can tell the car yes, then talk to the car, who will respond to the text. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi I have been having issues with my sync but since I have had the car for such a short time I thought I would ask to ensure it isn't operator error. 1- Zip code option is gone. It was there a few weeks ago when I bought the car which made it very easy since around here cities are called for example Daniel Island but for GPS purposes it is called Charleston. So zip made it easy for the system to know where to go. Any idea why it would go away? 2- As I try to type in street addresses (yesterday was River Landing) the system picks a word and names a street even though it is wrong. Yesterday it took River and then made some street with River in it that was not what I wanted but there was no option to fix it as every time I tried it kept going to the street it chose. Thanks
