  1. Personally I refuse to reality to pulling the fuse. I have done that already a few times and issues keep popping back up. If ford doesn't find solutions I'm sure lemon law cars will be flooding back in and class actions will begin. Kinda surprised this hasn't happened yet
  2. So I have yet to find anyone with my exact issues, so here goes.... I have an iPod Classic, all my iTunes data is up to par with Ford's recommendations as well. When I start the car a few different things occur. Now this is EVERY time I start my car one of the following issues comes up.... : 1) AM radio comes on. only AM/FM or CD works. (even if my ipod was working perfectly a few minutes earlier when I stopped the car). It then takes about 2-4 minutes before I can go into Menu and select sync USB and then it starts playing from where it left off before cycling the key off the previous time. 2) it says Indexing. Why does it have to index EVERY time the car is turned off and on? I've read all the posts about indexing issues and nothing works. 3) occasionally it will begin to play music right away, no issues (this is a rare occasion). But then a few minutes into my drive, the music will cut out for a few seconds, then the whole media functionality will completely freeze. I can't go to radio, CD, nothing. I can't escape it. if I turn the power off and on on the button the screen and display will freeze for a few minutes, then I can get into the menu - sync usb. I've done the Sync update, pulled the fuse, reset it via the battery method, AND done the master reset a lot of times now. I reset my iPod every 3 days it seems. NOTHING WORKS! I work for the government and my schedule during the week is busy. I don't have time to take off to go to the dealer to have them pull a fuse and tell me everything is ok when it's just going to come back in a few key cycles. Unless I can somehow, in a perfect world, be comp'd for my time wasting at a dealer to do the same things I've already done, I just don't see the point. Dealers already know it's a VERY common issue... I own a Boss 302 2013 mustang, I love my car and don't want to lemon law it or pursue anything in that arena but come on FORD, no other auto manufacturer has THIS many issues with their audio interfaces! ( I used to work in the auto industry so I know quite a bit about other company's glitches with this sort of thing). ALSO, this happens with my ipod, a USB (I've tried multiple brands, some that are recommended for media files and that sort of data), AND my iphone when it's connect via USB. Seriously, WTF?!!?!
  3. some USB drives are better than others for audio files. I'm not tech savvy enough to know why exactly but perhaps try a different USB drive?
  4. I downloaded the sync my itunes tonight, and when I open the program and begin, it keeps giving me an error saying itunes is busy. I've turned all downloads off, and even disconnected wifi so that itunes can't do anything. Sync my Itunes just doesn't work no matter what. what a piss poor fix / patch solution....
