I came here with the exact same issue. Given that this topic is a year old, can I assume that this is no longer a supported tool?

This is the reason I came to the forum as well. I also tried to put a TB drive on the system with about 8400 songs. This took about 4 hours to index and only worked briefly before strange behavior took hold including overall system sluggishness. My guess is that the system has a very limited amount of RAM (dissapointing). I also got a few segmentation violations crashing the system while trying to reindex the drive again. At first I thought it was just a weak processor, but now I am pretty sure they limited the amount of RAM which is dissapointing because its not that expensive especially on a 40K car! I removed the drive and put a 16 jumpdrive in with about 1000 songs on it, and things seem to work much better. The whole inxdexing and voice command list were built in about 4 mins. I just wish there was more information about what the limitations are of the system. I am also looking for a list of supported file types, rather then figuring out what is not supported (FLAC and 5 channel WAVs are not). Have not tried just straight WAV yet. MP4 and MP3 are, but was hoping to have an uncompressed format.
