  1. The coloring on the roads are traffic. From what I've seen, its green, yellow, orange, red then purple.
  2. I have a 2019 Edge. It does have the modem. But the Sync system still has the option to connect to Wifi. Although right now if you connect it to wifi, it locks the system up.
  3. I know on my AT&T android phones, In the stock messaging app, you go to settings, advanced messaging, and then you can turn it off. I use Google Messages as my text app, and if I have this on, and I receive an "Advanced Message" text, it doesn't even show up in google messages.
  4. This sounds more and more like you have advanced messaging enabled. Not only does it require both phones and the carrier to support it, but you have to be in a coverage area that supports it as well, or else it falls back to SMS. So the ones that are showing on your screen are SMS messages, and the ones that aren't are RCS messages. Have you looked in your messages settings on your phone to see if it is turned on? Like I said, I used to have this issue with my wife and finally just turned off advanced messaging and it fixed it completely.
  5. So I have had this issue in the past. What is happening is that the texts between you and your wife aren't normal SMS texts. They are likely RCS texts, which is similar to iPhone's imessage texts. There should be an option to turn it off in the settings. On my phone its called advanced messaging. These types of texts only work between two phones that support it, and are also on the same carrier for now, which is why you're only having the issue from your wife.
  6. Well got the APIM replaced, and a week of driving with the new module. Bluetooth paired up almost instantly when I first got it. And has connected immediately every time since. However, twice now, I've been in the car and it will start disconnecting and reconnecting over and over and over. I have noticed when it does it, it seems to be when I also have it plugged into USB for android Auto. But it keeps doing it until I shut the car off and back on. When its doing it, I can un-plug my phone and on the regular NAV screen, it shows the no GPS signal icon, but the map still moves as the car moves. Not sure whats going on there, but its only happened twice so far so I'm going to wait a bit longer before I complain about it.
  7. APIM came in yesterday afternoon. Taking it back in today to get installed. Hopefully this fixes everything!
  8. Well, Dropped the Edge off at the dealer Tuesday morning. They diagnosed faulty APIM like I suspected. APIM ordered. Every day my salesman lets me know it should be there the next day and ready to go. Finally today when it hadn't shown up I ask for an ETA. He said that he went and looked himself and the part is of course backordered. So I went and picked the car up and will just drive it until the replacement comes in. Its frustrating, but at least I have my car and hopefully it's on its way to being fixed.
  9. Thanks Guys. There was an update available from ford that I applied hoping to help, but it didn't change anything. Today randomly I got in the car and it connected right up to the phone and was able to use it normally. But After shutting the car off and waiting a bit and trying again, back to not able to connect. Hopefully the dealer can fix it Tuesday.
  10. I've tried an Samsung Galaxy S8, S9, iphone 6 and 7. All have the same issue. All the phones give an error "Couldn't connect to Ford Edge" and then I get this error on the sync3 screen.
  11. It does not pair. If I pull the battery, and then turn it all back on and try and pair, It will pair initially, But once you turn the car off and back on, it will never connect again after that. Typically when I come back to the car, I can go to phone, the only option is to pair a new device.
  12. I just took delivery of my 2019 Edge ST. I have not been able to get my phone, or any phone for that matter, connected to the sync3 system. I've done a master reset, and pulled the battery for 10 minutes to let all the devices power off. Both of those have let my phone connect partially one time, but will never connect again after that. I've tried with android and iphones with the same result. I have an appointment with my dealer Tuesday to take a look, but just curious if anyone has experienced anything similar in the mean time. Plugging in with USB and using android auto works fine, its just the bluetooth that doesn't work.
  13. I would really like the auto scroll feature. I would also like to be able to choose what it displays as default. Like with sirius, it always goes to the channel name. Why would i want to always see the channel name. I would like to be able to have it default to the artist or song title. Just small feature that bugs me.
  14. From what i've noticed, it doesnt create a new file each time you install an app. It just ads to the existing xml file. If your uploaded file shows that you have 1.2 installed then you have it, if not just re-install it.
