  1. AHHH!!! I will test that later tonight... thank you so much!
  2. Tested it again last night - had wife sit beside me and call from her cell-phone. Call comes-in. Displays two buttons on Nav screen: [sEND] and [END] (seems like outgoing labels to me) First quick-press of the Steering wheel button did nothing. Second press (3-4 seconds later) answered the call. When I went to press the same steering wheel button to end the call, it attempts to "REDIAL" my iPhone... put existing call on hold and begins redialing last outgoing number. So, I got it to ANSWER with the button, but it still seems to want to dial-out instead of ending a call.
  3. Profile: iPhone 3G (latest OS) and Sync (latest OS for Ford Flex w/ Nav) When I receive an incoming call, Sync will show the phone number and the two on-screen options (which are labeled more appropriate for PLACING a call, not receiving one). If I use the (only) phone icon on my steering wheel to try to answer the call, it attempts to "redial" the last number - NOT answer the current incoming call. Am I missing something...? Is it an issue between the iPhone & Sync...? is the steering-wheel "phone button" not meant to answer incoming calls? I hate having to take my eyes off the road and precisely touch an on-screen button before it goes to voicemail. Plus, as I said earlier, it seems odd that the button to answer an incoming call is labeled "SEND" in Sync. Anyone else have this same behavior with the two...? -scott
  4. Having the backup camera with the Nav unit... I do not need/want the "warning tones" to sound when backing up. They are redundant and unnecessary. I know how to disable them from chiming while in reverse (using the RESET button on the dash to toggle the ON/OFF state)... but it only works for THAT INSTANCE... it's not persistent. The very next time I put the vehicle in reverse, it is enabled again. Is there a way to set it to "off" permanently (or until told otherwise)...? Thanks, in advance... - scott
  5. jonb - I *THINK* what Way2Much was saying was that in order to IMPORT (copy/RIP) music files into the Sync™ internal library, the CD media cannot be formatted for .MP3 CD... not that the system won't PLAY an .MP3 CD... although I could be wrong.
  6. My guess: The dealer personnel may be confused. I am curious if there is the ability for the Nav unit to get software/firmware updates over-the-air that might be small in size. Like bug fixes or point releases (?). No clue. But as others have said, the amount of bandwidth needed to update map data is immense and cannot (currently) be updated over the air. Wishful thinking on their part, or possibly the "say yes to anything and sort it out later" approach to salesmanship.
