  1. This is similar to a post I did a while ago, when an updated contact in my phone (Android Samsung Galaxy 9) would not download to the Sync phonebook. I now have a more serious issue. If I delete a contact from my phone, upon either re-uploading the phonebook or deleting and downloading the phonebook, the deleted phone contact will not show up. But if I add a new contact, they will not show up at all, regardless of re-uploading the phonebook or deleting and downloading the phonebook. I thought that maybe the phonebook was limited to the number of contacts (the way navigation favorites is limited to 50), but that does not appear to be the case. I did do a hard SYNC reset and no change. So I know the phonebook is being updated since deleted contacts no longer show up, but no new contacts are being downloaded. Anyone have a clue?
  2. Sort of fearful that if I delete it and it doesn't download, I won't have it in emergency anymore.
  3. 2011 Ford Edge Limited Tried to do a voice activated call to Jackie, but it gave me other suggestions. Jackie is no longer in the phone book, but has been for years (my daughter). She's still a 911 emergency contact and pressing that button calls her. I do a phone book delete and download every few months as people come and go. To see if it was downloading, I removed two contacts. They were no longer in the phone book. But neither was my daughter. I even created a new contact in my phone using Jackie as a business name. Even 1 Jackie as I have businesses that start with numbers in my phone that are in my phone book. I did restart my phone and did a Sync reset using the program I downloaded years ago. Just stumped.
  4. Well, instead of removing all my favorite locations like updates usually do, it deleted every one past number 10. I guess that's progress.
  5. It seems that while I have updated sucessfully, I have an interesting problem: In My Favorites, the only entry I have is My Home in the screen's default "By Date" screen (yes, I have re-enteresd and saved new favorites after updating). If I go to the alphabetical list, my favorite locations all show up. This also affects the center console Navigation when trying to find a My Favorites destination--only My Home shows up (so it appears that this is a default "By date" lookup. Anyone with the same issue?

  7. As I've said before, the folks who designed this system obviously don't use it in their day-to-day lives. I've been sitting on my update for three weeks, not having had time to do this. It seems that, from the comments, the efficiency and workflow of the user interface has taken a few steps back, while functionality and speed are better. I might wait until there's a minor update (like putting the temp back) available at the dealer before I install (I've had minor issues, but nothing major). Or maybe Ford will keep sending me updates and I'll get a new one ( a Vx.1), especially since the new warranty doesn't go into effect until the update is installed (and I don't remember if there's a cut-off date for user installation).
  8. As you should know, Ford is planning a major Sync update for early this year. I spoke to the Sync guy at CES and found out the good and the bad: The good: New SD card from up to date maps from Navteq. The bad: Update will wipe all destinations. Just thought you should know.
  9. Still no go. It plays the first track of the album but then goes to the next track alphabetically by song name. What is really strange is that in Browse, Album view, it does list the tracks in album order.
  10. Nope, tried it all ways and it still plays in alphabetical order, although in "album" view, it lists the song in track order. Here's what I do (PLEASE tell me I'm doing something wrong): Select USB as source Browse Music Album (Songs are no listed in the correct album order) Select first song in list (this is track one of the album, but the player screen shows it as 4/8--the alphabetical order) The next track that plays is not album track 2 (which would be 8/8) but 5/8 (the next song in alphabetical order).
  11. The engineers obviously don't eat their own sh*t... Or don't test it very well... Or just don't care.
  12. Every time I have music albums or singles on a USB drive, the system plays and orders them in alphabetical order, even though the track ID has the correct album track ordering number. Has anyone else had this problem?
  13. Actually, it's probably all Sync updates. As a note, I've always called these Sync updates while the dealer's paperwork calls it a MyTouch update. I was told that I would have to reprogram my radio. Turns out not to be true. What I wasn't told was that I would lose ALL my favorite and previous destinations, including home.

  15. 750x360 650x400 700x400 PNG It's the only thing I found that works. I now only use 700x400 PNG.
