What exactly is the output from the Sirius XM radio? I would think it would be just a simple, line out audio, in which case you need to connect it to a line input on your system.
Don't worry about it. Ford doesn't really care or require the file. If you updated from a USB drive, the log file should have been written to the drive.
As far as I know, if you have HD radio and you tune to an HD station, you will see the HD logo show up on the screen. I would think a 2020 XLT would have it, but the owners manual says... HD radio, if available. Which might actually mean 'if stations in your area are available'.
Why is it you believe you have no HR radio? What did you try? Do you know the HD stations in your area?
If anything is the default screen, it should be the home screen... I'm not aware of any settings for "default screen". If it is doing it just randomly, I'd suggest taking it to the dealership. Hopefully you are still under warranty. Although most 2017s are out of warranty unless you purchased a extended warranty. Or perhaps you are not the original owner, which is what I'm guessing.
I used to live in Phoenix... There are 5 HD AM stations available. 550-1 (KFYI), 860-1 (KNAI-Spanish), 910-1 (KGME), 1230-1 (KOY-Spanish), 1580-1 (KQFN). When I lived there, 550-1 KFYI was the only station I could pick up.
I would agree with bbf2530. If you need this kind of data, I would suggest installing and using Android Auto. I believe then you might be able to obtain your driving history data. Not 100% sure but it seems like I've seen that.
Also, I think Google keeps your location data somewhere but not sure how you retrieve that.
Thanks. That's what I figured.
Yes, it's Sync 3.0 and a 2017 Ford Fusion. I have done as you said hitting the Sync button on the display. Just a bit less convenient and even then, voice commands do not work without completely disconnecting the usb cable to the phone.
Sure would be a nice enhancement if AA could recognize a Sync command and "forward" it to the Sync module. So perhaps if I preface my command with SYNC... SYNC USB to switch my audio to USB. Maybe something one of the AA developers could figure out.
Just wondering if anyone has found a way to control Sync when connected with Android Auto. If I use the talk button, the commands seem to only work with my phone/AA. I can't seem to use a Sync command while AA is active.
For example, let's say I wanted to switch to the music on my USB drive, I would normally just hit the talk button and say USB. But that doesn't work while connected to AA. I'm guessing it's not possible but thought I'd ask the experts. ?
