  1. I did download from that site. Have done it several times before, never encountered this problem. I even created a folder to stash the individual files so it looked just the instructions but no luck with that either.
  2. Also got the error trying to update on a 2018 Lincoln MKX. I noted that the downloaded file did not have a separate SyncMyRide folder, just the install file and several tgz modules. Not sure if it’s the hierarchy or the “known issue” causing the problem.
  3. For those using CarPlay, do you still have access to other entertainment sources (radio, USB stick, iPod) through CarPlay, or do you have to unplug the phone? The how-to demos don't seem to address this. It seems a little awkward to have to use a phone app (and use data charges) to listen to radio. Similarly, pulling music over the air vice that plump 64G stick of music seems like a nice way to benefit the wireless carriers if you don't have an unlimited data plan. Thanks
  4. When I upgraded the software to version 2.2, by USB stick has an ungainly;y alphanumeric name instead of the one I gave it when I formatted it. Even when I plug it into the Mac and "reassign" the name, on Sync 3 only the length version displays. Any thoughts on how to force the name back into recognition without reformatting, renaming and recopying all the files back to the stick? Even on a pretty fast Mac it takes a longgggg time.
  5. I guess I'm more curious about Version 1.1. When was it released and did folks with embedded modem have it update automatically?
  6. Both the SYNC site and my Settings in the MKX tell me my version 1.0 is the most up to date. Where does the version 1.1 show?
  7. Don't play CDs often in Lincoln MKX 2016 with Sync 3, but when I do, no info displays other than the number of tracks. No title, no track names, no art. I checked settings and couldn't find anything germane. Does Sync 3 use Gracenote? Are there any options to configure? The CD was commercially recorded, not a home rip.
  8. Bingo! That did the trick. And I am astounded how quickly the indexing takes place too. Orders or magnitude better than the old My Lincoln Touch. Also outshines the unconnect I had in my Jeep.
  9. Is it possible to sort the favorites in Sync 3 navigation? There doesn't seem to be any way to sort or reorder favorites that I can find and voice command doesn't seem to do a great job of recognizing them.
  10. Is there a way to change the name for a USB stick? I have a Mac, and even though I change the icon label name, it still shows up as "Unknown" when it's in the car. Any special tricks to get the new name to stick?
  11. I've been very pleased with the speed and responsiveness of using a USB stick with Sync 3. But even though I put a name label on the device (using a Mac), it always appears as UNKNOWN under sources, while the iPod shows the assigned custom name for the iPod. Any hints on how to make the name appear on the USB stick? Thanks
