Pairing DROID with SYNC

I had the same problem with my Droid X, tried for ages and could not get it work. Then I decided to test my bluetooth on the Droid by pairing with a bluetooth headset. It worked. next time I tried to pair to Sync it worked first time. Let sync search for the Droid and use access code "0000" on both the Sync and the Droid X. Now it works great.
