  4. 2013 C-Max Hybrid Navigation failure

    I have a C-Max Energi, which I picked up 2/2/2013, I believe the mfg date is 1/7/2013.

    The Navigation system has only worked correctly ONCE in the almost two months I've had it.

    I have been shown as being as much as 1/2 mile from my true location. It's always off by at least a few hundred feet.

    The 'Navigation Loading' message comes on frequently and takes forever to load, and I often get an error message when it tries to calculate a route.

    The Navigation system is a total piece of crap, which puts a taint on the entire car, and by extension, Ford.

    I don't get a warm fuzzy driving a car that makes me grit my teeth in frustration.

    How could something like this have possibly gotten past the factory door?

     

    The SD card is A3 and the firmware version is 2.15.17.

     

    I took it to the dealer and the answer was 'they are working on a fix'.

     

    Has anyone had an upgrade yet?

    I'm bettng there is a hardward issue with the antenna sensitivity, for one thing.

     

    I see some sort of class action happening if this isn't corrected fairly soon.

    Probably the most frustrating thing about using SYNC is “she” keeps saying “I didnnnet understand you.”

    Come on software programmers after you write a program you could at least send a couple of minutes TRYing to use it

     

    Just upgraded our phones from Motorola RAZR’s to a Samsung A777

    and a Motorola Backflip.

     

    After successfully removing the RAZR’s, only took 10 minutes SYNC kept trying to connect!

    The A777 went in pretty (yea right) quick.

     

    I paired the Backflip to a Parrott CK3100 in my F250 in less than 2 minutes!

     

    After UN-successfully pairing the Backflip I logged into “Syncmyride” looking for a software update.

    NO I’m NOT taking the MKX to the dealer for an upgrade!!!

  7. Pairing DROID with SYNC

    Are you trying to pair with Sync? I am assuming that you are. On a different forum I saw that you can type the password "0000" instead of the number that Sync tells you. You could try that and see if that helps? :)

     

    I just paired with my Motorola Backflip (Droid),

    I couldn’t type the 6 digits fast enough so I used the 4 digit 0000 PIN.

     

    BUT I had to get SYNC to display the 0000 PIN before it would pair.

    I used the up/down arrows (I think, might have been the tune knob) to get SYNC to change the 6 digit PIN to 0000.

  9. How do I get shuffle/play all to stick?

    Up to yesterday I was having similar problems -as I turned my car off and then back on, the "play all" shuffle would not remain and had to say "play all" through sync to get it to work all the time. It is annoying!

    Well, today I tried something that seemed to work. I enjoyed getting off and on my Edge and the song that was playing was still on and the shuffle and play all remained. Sweet!

    This is more or less what I did, although I don't have all the steps memorized as I just did it today.

    1) when I reached my destination and turned my car off, I removed my Ipod nano from sync and put it in my pocket. (note -this is what I did, you dont necessarily have to put it in your pocket or anywhere in particular).

    2) after 10 - 15 (again, it does not have to be specific) minutes when I had to drive off again, I used the click wheel on my Ipod to set it to shuffle. Then I connected it back to the USB in my car.

    3) I turned the AUTOPLAY function ON or ACTIVATED

    4) Through SYNC I said to play all, shuffle, etc. It started working.

    5) The main difference, though, is that now everytime I get on and off the car the play-all-shuffle mode stayed! I hope it stays that way!

    6) hope this helps. I discovered this by accident, It is not in any manual.

     

    I thought this was a problem with my ill :wacko: Ipod.

    The display doesn't work and I was showing it to my son (he thinks he can fix anything (usually does)).

     

    When he gave up and plugged it back in it started right where it had stopped and shuffled. Then the next time I start the MKX the Ipod continued to shuffle.

    Okay your second question doesn't make sense to me. You're saying that you registered here (fordsyncforum.com), and then went back to the Owner-to-Owner forum at syncmyride.com and logged in using the email address and password that you registered here (fordsyncforum.com)? Are you sure?--because the two have nothing to do with each other. They are totally independent.

     

    But then you add "That didn't work either?". What didn't work? Using the email address and password from here (fordsyncforum.com) to try to log into the Owner-to-Owner forum at syncmyride.com? I would expect that NOT to work, unless you ALSO registered at syncmyride.com using the same email address and password.

     

    Sorry it's a bit confusing. It sound like you're saying something did work, and then immediately saying it didn't. Could you please clarify?

     

    But to be to the point, you need to register separately for the two forums. You can use the same email address and passwords on both forums if you like, or you can use the same email address with different passwords on both forums (this is more secure, obviously). Or, you could use totally different email addresses and passwords at the two forums. Totally up to you. :)

    When I went here http://syncmyride.com/#/home/ to register for " Sync My Ride" I couldn't find a place to register.

     

    "2nd question: after stumbling around for a while I found it"

    I finally was able to register by going to the "OWNER RESOURSES" tab here http://syncmyride.com/Own/Modules/SupportC...upportHome.aspx then down in the very bottom right corner I clicked on "site map" which took me here http://syncmyride.com/Own/Modules/PageTool...eMap.aspx?lid=1. Which has a REGISTRATION button.

    "That didn't work either?"

     

    When I tried to use my normal MKX email "oilfield038-mkx@yahoo.com" I received a message that this email was already registered (it is, I use at here and another Ford site) and I could use it with my regular password to access "Sync My Ride" but it wouldn't take my password, so I registered with this email oilfield038-mkx2@yahoo.com.

     

    Hope this is a little easier to understand
