  1. Finally got the video to work, but in an odd way? It only seems to work when you play the initial video, meaning, I have many music videos on my iPod. When I play the first one, no problem, but when it then won't automatically play the next one, which would be fine, but when I manually use the iPod by hitting the play button, it won't show up on the screen. If I turn the car off then back on, then it will play the video? In a nutshell, once "video mode' (or whatever) is exited, I can't get it back into "video mode" without turning the car off. If I were watching something long, like a recorded video show or movie, guess this really wouldn't be a problem, but if you're watching short videos, it's a problem.
  2. It does work! It appears to be specific to the BT profiles your phone has. I just switched from a PALM PRE to a Blackberry Style and photos upload from the phone's contacts without problem and look good. Also, Texting works! I know that the BT Profile MAP must be handled by your phone for the Texting to work so maybe the photos also rely on MAP. Anyway, Blackberry Style V6 OS DEFINITELY works for both visual caller ID and texting!
  3. Great info, thanks! I am having the exact same problem with my Blackberry Style. Had a Palm Pre which always paired perfectly, but just got the Blackberry Style. Worked perfect the first day in my 2011 Edge, then second day would not pair. Have tried everything to get it re-paired (except pulling the fuse/battery), so where exactly is this fuse that I should pull to try and fix this problem? Also, is this issue specific to Blackberry's? So far what's been mentioned have all been Blackberry's (Torch, Bold, Style)?
  4. Thank you for your reply! Are you sure about that? The manual shows the phone screen (dial pad, end call, mute call, etc) with a persons picture on the screen for visual caller I'd. There is even a setting "Download photos from phonebook", On/Off in the phone settings screen. The salesman also said the phone screen would provide visual caller ID.
  5. Yeah, the manual says "Your AV inputs allow you to connect an auxiliary audio/video source (game systems, personal camcorder, etc) by connecting RCA cords to these input jacks". So, when you say SOL...why would I be SOL if the manual says this is possible and why would the media hub come with AV inputs?
  6. Hello, I just purchased a 2011 Edge Limited and successfully paired my Palm Pre and uploaded my phonebook, except for pictures? I had expected when I uploaded the phonebook that the photos associated to each contact of the phone would also upload the associated photo, but didn't. In my Sync settings, I have the PHOTOS set to ON and did another upload and nothing changes. Any ideas on how to get associated photos from my contacts in my phone associated to my uploaded sync phonebook? Thank you!
  7. Hello, just purchased 2011 Edge Limited with the Media Hub, which includes composite A/V In connections. The salesman told me that while in park, you'd be able to view video media on the center console LCD. I attached a camcorder and could get the audio from the recorded video, but not the actual video to display. I then tried non-protected video (TV shows, Music Videos) on my iPod Classic purchased from iTunes using the genuine Apple composite cable. The Edge seems to recognize the iPod as it displays the Ford logo on my iPod, but pauses and doesn't allow me to use any iPod commands after connecting. In both the camcorder and iPod, the VIDEO SETTING is set to TV OUT. In both cases, nothing appears on the Edge screen other than the picture of the red, white, yellow composite cable. If anyone has any ideas on how to get video while in park, I would greatly appreciate it.
