  1. I just checked my vehicle on Ford Owner site. I have 3.4 20136 so nothing is there. Says it's up to date.
  2. Quick question. Just updated wife's 2020 Fusion to 3.4.20136. Can I use the same download to update my MY18 Explorer from 3.0.19XXX to 3.4.20136? Thanks.
  3. Me too and I'm not real comfortable doing so. Not sure if Site Admin is monitoring or not. May have to stay away until it get fixed.
  4. Question for the Administrator. The site has become unsecure due to the site certificate expiring. Any chance the site can be secured again. Thank you.
  5. I found update 19119 and the main file is JR3T-14G381-AP.tar dated 5/17/19. I then found (both on Focus forum site) update 19205 with main file JR3T-14G381-AS.tar dated 8/3/19. I am assuming (hate to do that) you don't need to update to 19119 before 19205? Hopefully all goes well. Maybe it will fix the speed discrepancy on Waze.
  6. Thank you, yes, software. Not holding out hope for map updates though,
  7. Am curious if anyone in the "know" has heard if Ford is planning any updates to Sync 3? Thanks.
  8. Mine does this periodically also. It has done it on both versions.
  9. Something is wrong with the website. I just logged in and it's doing the same thing. Hopefully Ford will correct it soon.
  10. I think it's sad that you have to pay $150 for map upgrade (NA 1-16 to NA 1-17) which is probably already out of date. Ford needs to bite the bullet and offer it as an incentive. Also, am I to understand that the update is VIN specific? Thanks.
  11. So there is another new build out there? Wonder what's in that one. Anyone know?
  12. I have a 16 Fusion with MFT Sync 3.10 but with the A7 maps SD Card installed. Am looking at getting the A8 card off eBay. They are showing compatible only up to 2015. Can anyone confirm their A8 card # please? Latest Release A8 Map Database Ver. A8 Ford Dealer Stock GM5T-19H449-AB
  13. This past week I traded my 16 Edge for 18 Explorer with Sync 3. It has 3.0, v17276 installed. According to Ford Owner site, it was uploaded with this file JR3T-14G381-AJ Date Confirmed:Dec 19, 2017. Now the site is telling me there is an update JR3T-14G381-AL SYNC3 v3.0, which by the way, is trying to update via wifi on a daily basis, but errors out saying it can't download the file. I downloaded to PC and transferred to my trusty thumb drive. Take to SUV and it goes through the routine, but I get the "You already have the latest update" message. I'm perplexed. I suppose I should leave well enough alone? Thanks.
  14. On the Ford Owner site, they have the 3.0 update available for download. Keep Your SYNC Software Up To Date 2018 Ford Explorer We're committed to enhancing and improving upon the SYNC® driving experience. And to make it even better, we will periodically release software updates so you have the latest version of SYNC to keep you up-to-date and in-the-know. Software update v3.0 is available. It's possible you have updated SYNC 3 using Wi-Fi within the past week.48 If you aren't sure, here's how to check. Begin SYNC Update Please note that you will need a USB drive with at least 32GB of space in order to proceed with the update. What's in this update?
  15. I noticed that this weekend travelling back from Florida. I've got iOS 11.2.6 on my iPhone, and Sync version 3.0
  16. Well, apparently, if you are one of the adventurous ones (like me) who got the 3.0, 18025 version early and upgraded your Sync 3, and you download the "official" 3.0 from the Ford Owner site, which I did, and do to update, it will come back and tell you you're system is already updated. So, there must not have been any changes to the earlier 3.0 update. And of course, since it's already updated it won't put that pesky little file to tell Ford you've updated. Maybe I should just buy a new Explorer.
  17. Well, just found this interesting little tidbit while seeing if the MAPS were anywhere close to being updated. When I go to https://here.navigation.com/north-america/find-a-map-updateand plug in my car info, I usually get, "Your maps are up to date". Now I get "Thank you for your interest in a navigation update for your SYNC 3 system. Please contact your dealer to purchase an update today." I'll be contacting mine tomorrow.
  18. How do you have ios 11.3? It hasn't been released by Apple yet. 11.2.6 was just released couple of weeks ago.
  19. Disregard my last post. Talk about floundering around and tripping over it. I found it. Will probably install tomorrow. UPDATE: I updated to build 18025. Everything works. Not sure what was different from 17276.
  20. If they are out there as you say, they are well hidden. Would you care to elaborate? Thanks.
  21. I experienced a similar issue with my 2014 Fusion and 2014 Edge. Let me first ask, do you have a "monitoring" device plugged into you car under the dash? Something like Drivewise from Allstate? Id so, (which I did) you have to disconnect that, restart your vehicle, then try and run the VHR. Mine worked just fine after I removed the Drivewise. Once your VHR is complete you can reconnect your device. Good luck.
  22. I have a 2011 Ford Edge also. Pantech Ease P2020 phone. SYNC recognizes the phone and pairs, but won't do anything with address book. SYNC chats were full of info but to no avail. I was even sent an application file called Sync my Phone, followed instructions and got a download error. I'm at a total loss. Any help out there? Thanks
