For MFT maps A10 and above you have to be on v3.8 or higher. If you use a random VIN for say a 2015 Escape TI that you find on CarFax and go to syncmyride.com you should see 3.10 offered along with the instructions if it hasn't been upgraded. I just tried this and was able to pull it down. You need to do a master reset when you cross the A10 line as Ford changed the format of the NAV cards to exFat from FAT32, if you don't you have late voices (eg the turn instruction say 30 seconds after the screen showed to do it).

Depending on the TCU in the car you also get TPMS state/Remote lock/unlock/start and vehicle location with map. I pulled the H series from my 2018 Fusion and dropped in one from a 2020 F150 and picked up some functionality.

I'm going to hazard a guess that this is a final leveling with 3.4.x since the build date is not quite a month after the last released 3.4.x version. Other than the app, this brings GraceNote and Voices to the same level as the last 3.4.x update. According to the NAV site the NA223 maps should drop on or about Monday 5/13/24.

I have e a 2013 Ford Edge, I want to update the maps. The Ford website states that my SYNC must be up to date first. When I follow their instructions to update my Sync I get file not found error. Has anyone been able to resolve this install problem? The file name that they said to download based on my VIN is EA5T14D544-BA I currently have SYNC2 version 3.61. Thanks Dean

It takes 1 whole year to finally show up in an update so the sooner the better!

no dont panic, its nothing to do with APIM, ford discontinued their applink service which is why that "mobile apps" page looks blank now. what i dislike about fordpass app now is if you dont have an EV or remote start, that app doesnt show anything about vehicles anymore. before accuweather used to have an applink as well.

took me 7 mins to get everything installed. I think this is the foundation before the map update which is coming next week.

Hi skullmurphy. It was a quick one. The installation took about 15-20 minutes for me. The way to determine if the installation was successful is easy. Just go into the settings on your SYNC screen and look at the "About SYNC" settings to see what version is now installed. If it shows SYNC version 23219, you are good. Hi ShelbyGT350. Unfortunately, Ford does not provide release notes for updates. At least not easily discoverable ones. At this point in time, the rare SYNC v3.0.xxxxx updates we get will most likely only be to address bug fixes, new iOS and Android OS releases etc. It is doubtful there will be be new/observable features. What I can tell you is...I installed the update three days ago. The installation went well. And my SYNC 3.0 system, which has always operated well, is still running the same. No observable changes. Perhaps another member will have more insider information and jump in to help. Good luck.

Hi johnny h. According to Ford, the scanning and/or the process of downloading SYNC 3 updates via WiFi can continue for up to 30 minutes after the vehicle/engine is turned off. Good luck.

Hello, I am having similar issues. I bought a 2014 F250 6.2 super duty lariat, and I had to buy the sync card from Ford because it was taken out from whoever at the car lot. So I just got it and plug it in and try to find it ony screen and even went to begin software insulation and get the message FILE NOT FOUND Please check that the installation file is in the root directory of your storage... What does that mean and how do I get it there?? Lol. Thank you

What build level of MFT is your unit on? For maps after A8 the unit needs to be on 3.08, the final was 3.10. If you go to owner.ford.com, what build does it show you at? Have you performed a master reset since you got the new card?

I have the same issue on a 2013 Ford Escape Titanium, my navigation disappeared. I thought it was a issue with the SD map card so I went to the Ford Dealer who looked up my vehicle and sold me a new card which I tried to install at the dealership to no avail. The tech came out and messed with the sync but couldn't get it to work and than said that I must not have navigation on my vehicle. My question is if I don't have navigation why does it show in my Sync app under Software Licenses with a Install Updates button, Navigation/16777215, Expiration Date None, Remaining Uses Unlimited?

Not surprising, the last vehicle to roll off the line with MFT was in 2016.

The module needs the asbuilt config for your vehicle loaded into it. A Focus is close, but not quite the same.
