  4. Thanks to all for responding to my inquiry. I will keep an eye out for any future updates from Ford.
  5. Only what they would consider are 'bug fixes' will they update Sync 3.0 or 3.4 Ford does not update the maps.... so 'that' is anyone's guess.. 😎
  6. My iPOD Touch Last Gen, still worked, just the battery was bloated... so I moved everything to a USB dongle... I agree with the troubleshooting, test your same setup with another vehicle with the same set up....
  7. I agree... and I don't 'think' that the small screen was Sync 3 and no touch... but then I've never had a small screen Ford... 😎
  8. If you are talking about the navigation, I don't think I've seen a good fix for that.... so in a nutshell... the answer is NO, but see if someone else is selling the same card for less... The reson it's no, is because the card is protected...
  9. Okay thank you so much. That brings me to another question i've had since we purchased the vehicle for my wife - it didn't have a NAV micro SD card when we bought it. Would I really need to pay $175 for a new NAV card from Lincoln, or is there a way to download the NAV and put it on my own Micro SD card? Thanks again.
  10. The NA223 map update was released in May, 2024 and the NA224 has been seen in the wild now so I would expect the Ford official to hit in May, 2025.
  11. Do a master reset, delete the pairing from your phone. And using build numbering, it would be 3.10.0 which you went to, 3.1.x was released back in the very first Sync2/MFT vehicles in the 2011MY. The main difference other than driver updates from 3.8.x is that 3.10.0 performs better when used with external MP3 USBs if the disk is formatted exFAT and the map cards in NA after the A10 come formatted as exFAT instead of FAT32 due to the larger map database. If your NAV is stuttering or giving late voice prompts with a new NAV card you need to do a master reset due to the change.

  13. HI g2thew. Yes, Ford is currently still releasing updates for SYNC 3.0/3.4, as necessary. They just released one for SYNC 3.0 mid to late last year. They are released to take care of any issues/bugs etc. only. However, do not expect updates to add new features for SYNC 3.0/3.4. And yes, Ford is also releasing new NAV map updates. As always, they are released once a year, usually around mid-year to September/early October. You can check the SYNC 3 and SYNC 2 Nav Map update website, located on the Ford Owner website, to see it there are any updates available for your vehicle. Also, do not depend on using WiFi updating for SYNC. WiFi updating is notoriously unreliable for SYNC 3.0, and not much better for SYNC 3.4. Use the Ford Owner website to access the SYNC 3 updated pages, and update via USB if any are available for your vehicle. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  14. Hey everyone, I just updated my 2016 Lincoln MKX from SYNC 2 v3.8.5 to v3.10 (yes, 3.10 is newerβ€”Lincoln confirmed, though the numbering is dumb). Since the update, Bluetooth call quality has dropped. My wife (Android phone) now sounds muffled and distant, and background noise cancellation seems too aggressive, cutting her out. I’ve tried: Unpairing & re-pairing the phone Checking SYNC’s Bluetooth settings Testing other phones (same issue) Anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to tweak mic sensitivity/noise suppression, or do I need to roll back to 3.8.5 (if that's even possible, and if so, how)? Thanks!
  15. Just wondering if Ford will be doing any further updates to sync 3 . Or have they stopped updating sync 3 and sync 3 maps.
  16. Ford has made no changes to 3.4.23188, if it worked on 3.4.23188 for quite a while and then stopped its either: 1) bad device or device internal issue, eg Apple may have had an internal code signing certificate that expired 2) bad USB cable 3) bad USB port Only way he's going to be able to troubleshoot is to either plug the Nano cable and Nano 5 into another vehicle with 3.4.23188 or to try a new cable and a known good Nano 5 (as in works in another vehicle with 3.4.23188) into his car.
  17. 1) Try pulling the battery cable for 35 minutes to force a full cold reboot of all the modules 2) check out the F150 forum, they might have an idea of something more specific to try. https://www.f150forum.com/
  18. My dad has the small screen I think sync 3? Non touch screen. The screen appears to have the same look as my big screen (touch) except it's zoomed into the top left of it because obviously it's too small of a screen to show the whole thing. None of his menu/settings buttons work to do a factory reset. Local dealer updated something about 9 months ago, fixed problem, 20 min later it *zoomed in* again. Took back to dealer, they said it would fix itself in next update, it didn't. Called ford, they say take to dealer, dealer says it needs whole new infotainment system... $3k I refuse to pay that, seeking help!!
  19. A 30 pin connector is an 8 bit connection.... it's possible that Ford has decided to not support it anymore... probably because 16 bit and higher have been available... 😎 Just my 3 cents... 😎
  20. Hi mmjet. Just a thought: Perhaps try transferring some music to your phone (iPhone?) or a flash drive. See if it functions/plays. If it does, the issue may very well be with your iPod. I'm sure others will jump in to help, so keep us updated and good luck.
  21. Just FYI, no luck restoring Ipod support with a master reset.
  22. Ford part numbers. DS7T = D year the part introduced D=2013 S7T = car model, in this case a Fusion 14 subsystem B function group 428 vendor id AQ part specific rev, can refer to a calibration/firmware load or something like a mounting bracket In general with a Sync1 APIM you should be able to just swap it in, you may in some cases have to use ForScan to drop the config for your specific car into the module. Do a master reset of the module once you install it.
  23. Hi jpohlman. Good, that is even better. πŸ€— Although when I performed a SYNC Master Reset, I needed to redo my presets. Good luck. 🍻
  24. Ford deprecated Sync Apps in 2017 due to lack of developer interest. For sound adjustment you're pretty well stuck with what shows in Sync, there are some DSP profile settings that can be set with ForScan but it doesn't have any doc as to the difference between profile 1 & say profile 2.
  25. Radio presets and XM are stored in the ACM, not the APIM. He would need to pair his phone again and if he has factory NAV put back in his preferences.
  26. You'd probably get more info in a Ford Edge forum like https://www.fordedgeforum.com/ than here. Most NA Ford SUVs do not have bumper covers with recovery hook point covers even if the screw in eyelet is offered as an accessory.
  27. Where is the recovery hook locations on a 2023 ford Edge Titanium? I have looked everywhere front and rear. We had a snowy winter in Montana this year and I came close to being stuck several times. How would I get pulled out? Thanks Allan
  28. Hi mmjet. The only "risk" to performing a SYNC Master Reset is...Since a SYNC Master Reset will wipe out most information you previously stored, you will need to reconnect your phone and home WiFi network, and also restore your Sirius and possibly other preset radio stations etc. Keep us updated and good luck.
  29. Thanks much for the reply. Are there any risks to the master reset? I was hesitant to do that as I seem to recall issues mentioned in the Ford Escape forum. (and I believe that I already had the APIM bricked issue when I purchased this Escape as CPO....luckily I noticed the electronics were not working correctly before I left the lot and they agreed to replace the APIM which fixed all).
