  1. I can't get Siri/Voice commands to work with the USB stick in Sync 3. I have even tried saying the basic voice command "USB" to Siri and she doesn't recognize it. I say "Play" and the song title, artist, etc but she doesn't understand. The FLAC music files play fine and I edited the ID tags (artist name ,ablum, etc) of the songs as well. Has anyone had any success with USB music voice commands? What am I doing wrong?
  2. NO TURN-by-TURN VOICE guidance voice (SYNC 3 NAVIGATION) after start of navigation. At start of route "preamble speech" is OK and volume adjustable using knob while she's speaking per usual ... but NO voice turn-by-turn guidance after that. Worked fine until I hit 30K miles or so. Did I shut down turn-by-turn voice off by doing something in settings? Is it "off-to-see-the-dealer" time? Thanks for any clues. RE: SYNC 3 Navigation, 2017 Ford f-150 Lariat...
  3. Here is the problem I'm having- I'm listening to Sirius radio and using maps. After each map voice instruction the source changes to radio. This isn't the worst thing in the world, except I travel a lot so the radio is static because I'm not home. It's driving me batty. Does anyone on this forum know why this is happening?
  4. After the last upgrade... at some point, not sure when... when I use Voice Command and try to access my text messages I get a speech from the lady in my dash "Messaging Not Supported on this Device". Now, that's really funny. Because I receive text messages and send them. I can go to the touch screen and read them and if I hit the little speaker icon, she will read them to me. The only thing I can find that doesn't work with text messaging is the Voice Command part. This is a MAJOR pain to say the least as I am very careful about texting and driving. It's nice to be able to hear the message while driving and then decide what to do. On some forums, I have seen a "fix" for problems with Voice Commands that involves pulling the fuse for Sync to reset them. I can tell you that this does "work" in some cases but did NOT work for this problem. Just for reference to those searching for fixes, here's the hokey pokey you have to do. 2013 Ford Edge Limited. Fuse under dash number 29. Pull fuse, puller supplied... nice. Wait about 30 seconds or so. Put fuse back in and button up flimsy cover. Now, you'll need to start your car because when it starts "Building Voice Commands" mine took about 35 minutes. If you don't start car, Battery Saver will time you out. In any case... this did NOT work for the Messaging problem. Does anyone out there have any other ideas? As I said, I can't see anything else with messaging that isn't working as expected. Just Voice Command... sigh.
  5. I have 2013 Edge with MFT, but no navigation. I am not much of a fan of the voice calling capability of it....it's way worse than android's default voice bluetooth calling app ("voice dialing" i think it's called) Add to that, that I've also got a voice assistant app (Dragon Mobile Assistant) which allows me to: get directions to anywhere send texts (which I think Sync still can't handle with all androids) have texts read (again, sync can't for my phone) create calendar reminders Long & short is, my dumb bluetooth headset is more capable than sync, because it takes advantage of my phone. Does anyone know of a way that sync can simply trigger my 'default' bluetooth call button app?
  6. I recently installed The Ford OEM SYNC kit in my 2009 mustang. It has a dash mounted voice control instead of steering wheel buttons. Everything works great now except when I push the voice control buttons nothing happens. It does not even interupt the radio or say listening. I had the installer double check that the buttons were installed according to the guide and it looks fine. I have tried the master reset but no luck. Does anyone have any idea what to check next. There are no upgrades available for this unit. it is a sync 1.1
