I have a new2018 Ford explorer XLT. I've been having ongoing issues with sync 3 system voice command and using the navigation. My question is, should voice command work while car is moving? . I have to add the system functions normally when the vehicle is stopped. When in motion I have problems. My problem is... voice command to "Show favorites" once at show favorites I use voice command to show favorites, the screen shows favorites, problem is, I say next page and the favorites page doesn't advance. At this point screen freezes, steering wheel buttons freeze and there is a 20/30 second lag time at which point all the functions I pushed start playing catch up. The favorites page eventually works at about the time the annoying voice command prompt starts reciting options. Have taken vehicle to dealership they have replaced apim module, master resets, updated and download entire system. Now my explorer has been sitting at the dealership waiting for tech to play phone tag with Ford hotline. I guess my question is, am I expecting too much from this sync 3 voice command system, is this how the entire system is suppose to operate, or is there really something wrong with the system? My $100 Garmin GPS is better than the sync nav. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Stonecrest
