  1. All, I have discovered another workaround. 4.6 users, try this: 1. Allow your phone to connect via Bluetooth. 2. If you plan to use AppLink, connect your iPhone via USB as well. 3. Press the hard button on the phone to activate Siri. 4. Wait for Siri to to give you the "Some things you can ask me" screen, then press the little Bluetooth icon in the lower right corner. 6. If you are connected via USB, select "Dock Connector." If not, select "iPhone." Note that iPhone or Dock Connector may already be selected. This, I believe, is the cause of the "bug that isn't a bug." 7. You are now using the iPhone's microphone and speaker for Siri, and it will work as expected until your phone switches back to Bluetooth. This can happen for various reasons, e.g., if you get a phone call, switch your streaming source to Bluetooth, or one of your apps attempts to play audio as a Buetooth phone call. Then you will need to perform the process again the next time you attempt to use Siri. @FordIVTeam, could you all please consider an enhancement request that Siri work smoothly when the iPhone is connected via Bluetooth? Bonus points for an option to let us use the steering wheel button to talk to Siri instead of Samantha. We really want this because it's so much safer to have Siri available to respond to texts, find apps, addresses, songs, etc. I'm sure this has been mentioned dozens of times, but a $150 radio from AutoZone can do this with no problem. It's very upsetting that our integrated system can't do it correctly.
  2. Good idea. Or, maybe temporarily disable Bluetooth on the car instead, might be easier while driving.
  3. I approached the topic with my dealer when I was last there. I have another visit scheduled in the next three weeks. If that visit isn't too crazy maybe I'll ask them to look into it further. Service manager didn't seem super confident that his tech line would be much more effective than the consumer tech line.
  4. Well sure. I go there about once a year for an oil change. I'll ask them then. I'm surprised/disappointed your dealer didn't try to work this with Ford. I know Ford doesn't want us to downgrade, but it would be nice to hear that they're working on 4.7 or whatever and maybe even give us an ETA window. I wonder if one could perform a downgrade by purchasing a SYNC module, perhaps from a similar vehicle in a junkyard.
  5. I appreciate that if this is broken for iPhone users it puts Ford in an awkward position. But if they know it doesn't work for iOS users, and the correct course of action is "go to the dealer and ask them to roll it back" I'd appreciate the advice - even if it costs money to reverse my upgrade mistake.
  6. Update... I got my hands on an iPad still running iOS 9.3.2. I tried it in my SYNC 4.6 system and had the same problem. Cara, do you have any recommendations? This change makes it very difficult to use the phone while moving. To be clear, this is not the Siri Eyes Free feature; in upgrading to 4.6, we have lost the ability to use Siri directly from the device while connected to SYNC.
  7. +1 here. I'm running iOS 10.2. Can anyone running an earlier iOS confirm whether Siri is working with SYNC 4.6? It might help Ford and Apple figure out where the issue is...
