  1. Thanks for the advice on Tag Scanner; I'll have to check it out. I'm a little...frustrated that we would have to go through something like this to try and get the artwork to display correctly - especially considering the size of some people's music libraries. I consider mine relatively small and I have well over 2,000 songs. Going through each one to assign a picture when that information already exists because the Sync has a mind of its own in terms of what it wants to display and when doesn't seem right.
  2. Thanks for the reply, but from my original post: "I've been through all of my iTunes songs and compared many of the ones that work correctly with those that don't and I can't see any rhyme or reason for this. I also verified that the radio is set to pull the artwork from the USB drive first, not Gracenotes." I have tried changing this as the steps outline above, but I still have artwork issues.
  3. A quick addendum to above. I did some more testing and found that the songs that don't display correctly change. That is, sometimes a given song shows the correct artwork, sometimes it shows the generic picture. Likewise, a song that last time had a generic picture just showed the correct album artwork. Its almost like the Sync doesn't have time to read the info on the track or something like that...
  4. I had this problem with my 2014 Taurus SHO. When the device in question is playing (iPod, iPhone, etc.), hit Options, then Media Player Settings. One of the top lines is "Auto Play". Set this to off. Problem solved.
  5. Hello all, I have a 2014 Ford Taurus SHO that I've had for about 4 months, and there is one thing I can't seem to figure out. It's not a huge deal, more of an annoyance but I'd love to fix it if I could. When playing a playlist from a USB drive - which I do often - the artwork that shows up on the screen is often the generic picture that is part of the Sync system instead of the artwork associated with the Album. When I first noticed this, I went into my iTunes library and discovered I had about 400 songs that didn't have any artwork, so this made sense. However, I fixed all of those; in iTunes, the correct artwork shows up for every single song I have now. When I play from the USB drive in my car, though, I'd say about 25% of the songs show a generic music note, or a random picture of someone singing or playing the guitar. If I'm not mistaken, the music note shows when the radio doesn't recognize the genre of music, then a picture does if the genre is recognized. For example, the guy playing the guitar says "Rock" at the bottom and comes up during rock songs. I've been through all of my iTunes songs and compared many of the ones that work correctly with those that don't and I can't see any rhyme or reason for this. I also verified that the radio is set to pull the artwork from the USB drive first, not Gracenotes. I suppose this still could be an iTunes issue but I doubt it, so I'm starting here. Any advice or things to try is appreciated. Thank you.
