  1. I am about done with this POS. I am hoping the iDataLink people get the fusion variant fixed then i can replace the head unit for a newer Pioneer or Kenwood and still keep all the Sync stuff i need and get a real media player. All that plus the new head unit will have an MHL input and i can have my android in my dash. problem solved.
  2. From what ive read there doesnt sound like much hope for Applink on MyFordTouch. That being said if they'd give us a way to turn off auto-indexing it would solve half of my annoyances. It seems like some days it wants to re-index my usb stick 2 or 3 times, even though the stick hasnt been removed in a month. Then there are some albums i just cannot get to with voice commands. I have several albums called Anthology, forget about it. I have to browse manually for them. The Black Crowes Amorica is equally hard to get to. I have other ones that act the same. The only other way to get there is a manual browse which is hard to do on the road. Whats a real treat is when you've browsed to an album, shut off the car, then when you get back in it re-indexes and the 19 songs on the album are cut down to the one you were listening to last. You have to wait for it to re-index and then browse back to that album, or forget about it and listen to XM. This isnt my first car media player or one that uses voice commands. I have tried the same cadence and speed i've used when setting up medical voice recognition systems. Tried talking to it like my android phone. I tried playing a song the other day, I tried 4 times and got 4 different responses and none of them were right. The last time it changed to a hispanic XM channel. I resort to playing all on shuffle and hitting Next and awful lot. Either that, or i play the artist i am looking for a song or album from and hit next a lot. The really sad part is that after my upgrades it sounds wonderful. I put in JL Audio components, an Audison sound processor, a Polk 5 channel amp and a Sundown Audio sub. I havent gotten the Audison all dialed in yet and it still sounds great. Now if i could just listen to what i am wanting to instead of just swearing at it and switching to XM.
