Well, I got it to work this afternoon. I completely started over with a new download set to another laptop computer. I appears i was missing one file in the tries previously. Don't know why. It did take an hour to complete. Several times it appears to be a normal Ford screen but there is a banner at the top saying an update is in progress. I now have 1 19 map. Here are files from my installation.

I have the CE lic file. Here are screen shots of my files. Think I have correct files? Well it gets the same error, 005. I even downloaded a new lic file. Maybe the battery disconnect is something?

Will I am getting the same error 05 as everyone else. I have downloaded the files twice, reformatted the USB twice. I just put the USB in and it very quickly said it was done and to remove the USB. Well I did just that. Guess I should have left it in. When I insert the USB now I am back to getting the 05 error. Guess I may try it again tomorrow or just give up. I see no reason for Ford to make an update so hard to do in this modern world. Glad to see someone actually got it to work. Gives me hope (slight).

I have a new 17 Escape with sync 2.2 installed from factory. I have Android Auto on my S5 and can't seem to get it to work. When I plug in the USB cable there is very quick screen that says something about Sync can't ???. It disapepars so quickly that I can't read it. Not that I really care, just wondering. Update: Went back and fooled with it somemore. It started working! Go figure. Guess it has a mind of it's own.

That is just what happened to me on my Escape. Went back out and ran the report and it shows updated now. Trying to confirm with the USB drive file does not work as described. A bug somewhere.

I have a brand new Escape. In using the Navg I found the local Lowes and Kohl's that have been built 5 years or so not on the navg. But the Belk's and Jc Penny that are only 2 years old are on the navg. Must be something that the companies pay Navtex to list their stores? But if you go to Google Maps and ask for Home Depot they show the store layout dept wise on the screen. I carry my Garmin with me all the time as backup.
