  1. thats common with bluetooth when your using any app besides whats on ur harddrive. it gives problems alot of the time and ive only seen it work a handful of times. Also im not sure if the mobile applications feature is available yet for the MFT systems. I know they are working on the other systems. What ive done before is remove the app from ur apps running in the background and then i restart the phone and load it back up first thing then do bluetooth audio. That sometimes seems to fix it.
  2. thats odd, have you tried pulling out the fuse dedicated to sync then putting it back in? it usually clears out any minor bugs. or if you dont care about ur information thats saved like your presets and all that you can do a master reset.
  3. does ur system show any devices that are currently installed? or is the whole screen just greyed out buttons? cause it should just auto prompt to the code if no devices are paired. if there is a device, just click that device and see if the button glows again.
  4. the iphones do not support messaging over the bluetooth like some androids do, plus they dont allow you to send contact photos and a few other small options. the samsung galaxy s3 should partially work. its hard to say cause ive seen them work before with the text messages as in if you get one it will pop up and you can press the voice button and say "read text message" and it works but when you go to the messaging section it says not compatible. i have also seen the opposite where the message pops up in the messaging section and you can manualy read them but if you use the voice commands it doesnt work and says that the phone is not a compatible phone. both times being SGS3 and same things for the SGS4 and SGS2. long story short, its a hit or miss with the androids and iphones dont work at all with that function. But i have found it not to be a big deal cause the messaging function sucks anyways. You can only reply with the voice commands when in park and you can only choose between a set of like 10 messages. the only benefit is it reading your text messages to you when you are driving.
  5. not that i know of, its a very common problem for most people. But as far as i have read and know there is no option for this. It used to defualt to bluetooth but after one of the updates it stopped doing that.
  6. you can use the voice commands to set a destination but you have to start it all from "navigation" " destination street address" ect. they removed that button in the newest version.
  7. you can do all that those describe with your system. If you plug in a usb device you can control it with voice commands, you can also say bluetooth audio and play music wirelessly, not to mention the ability to call people and all those. The thing you cant do is say like "fm 106.1" or "sirius bpm"
  8. if you pay for the sync services you can get like turn by turn directions and traffic updates and weather ect. but yea, seems pretty useless for your case.
  9. are you on the my ford touch system? if so goto the entertainment section and go down to the bluetooth audio section and press the source button or something like that. might be under like options if that doesnt work, go to the phone settings under bluetooth devices and click your phone then click the ipad and see if it shows the connect option.
  10. try saying phone first then calling and see if it shows the name then. also try being in the phone menu first then calling someone.
  11. i dont believe the non MFT systems have voice commands for sirius or the climate ect. They only have commands like "bluetooth audio" and " usb" ect. but not being able to say the station number or name.
  12. yea, the fuse panel in the mustangs and the edges are a pain to get to.
  13. a fuse pull clears most problems but will keep your setting and presets all in tact. just take out the fuse dedicated to sync and place it back after a minute. it usually clears out the ram in the vehicle and gets rid of problems you may have.
  14. try clearing the memory by pulling the fuse dedicated to sync, then putting it back in after a minute or so. then the memory should be cleared and it should fix this message.
  15. that is weird, do you answer it all the same way?like the steering wheel?
