  1. I have been having a lot of the same issues with my 2011 Fusion. I eventually filed for Lemon Law, because I had taken it into the dealership enough times for the same problem. Ford simply does not care. Their local "field engineer" was sent out to look at it and of course he says everything is working fine. When I arrived to pick up my car that evening, it was still malfunctioning. I showed this to the service manager, and he couldn't have cared less. It's a very frustrating issue. Having to disconnect the battery every 3 or 4 weeks to get everything running again is just not acceptable. Should have kept my Honda!
  2. I know the pain of all of you. I have a 2010 Fusion SE and I use a 4th Gen iPod Nano. About every 3 or 4 weeks I get the "Index full..." message and the system freezes up. Or I get the "No USB device connected," etc. I have had my car into the dealership several times for same problem. The only thing that corrects it is a "hard reset" ... in English, that means disconnecting the battery. I eventually filed for Lemon Law. Ford's local "field engineer" came to the dealership to look at it, and said, of course, that everything was working fine. When I picked my car up that evening it was still malfunctioning. I showed this to the service manager and he basically didn't care. Corporate Ford has since sent me a letter politely telling me to bug off in nice legal language. They simply do not care.
  3. If anyone was as frustrated as I was with SYNC in their 2011 Fusion, Ford has issued a software update that addresses several issues. Voice recognition has gotten better, not perfect but better, and it communicates with my i-Pod and follows i-Pod commands where it didn't before. Even the technician at the dealership was getting frustrated with it after giving me a line of BS about my phone and i-Pod being not up to date as the problem. When he called Ford he found that there was indeed a fix for the problems I had been experiencing. Hope this news gives some encouragement for any other frustrated SYNC owners.
  4. Is this new mic kit available for the Fusion as well? Anyone know where the factory mic is located in a 2011 Fusion? I'm having similar problems with people understanding me on the phone, and with SYNC understanding me as well.
  5. My 2011 Fusion's SYNC has done this 5 times in the one month I have had it. I did a Master Reset each time, but it only lasts a few days. It has never played music from my i-pod nano without a problem somewhere in the playback like starting in the middle of a song or separating songs that are continuous play. The dealer said nothing is wrong with SYNC, and that my phone and i-pod are not up to date. That's just a load of crap. Both are fully up to date with software and firmware. I love the car, but SYNC I could do without. I never had any issues with the system in my Honda.
